Akko is a service I’ll recommend to my friends and family both. I had an extremely positive experience in getting my iphone screen repaired.

Insuring my cellphone has become more and more expensive. Cell phone companies offering insurance at $15 to $18 per device plus a $250 deductible. I have a family plan with 8 devices and so I was looking for more affordable alternatives when I came across AKKO. I am so glad I found them, not only am I saving they actually turned out to be great and better then the regular cell insurance US companies. I filed the theft report on 2/1/22 and a day later, they sent the funds for a new one through PayPal! I am not going back to traditional cell phone company insurance (Asurion/AT&T or Assurant / Tmobile). Even the deductible was cheaper, $99 versus $250 with Asurion & Assurant and they send you the funds to buy a new phone. Whereas Asurion and Assurant send you a refurbished phone. For the sign-up process, you do have to take pictures of your cell front and back, IMEI # and a receipt of purchase. Each phone number gets their own password so they can uniquely sign in and file a claim for their device.

The claims process took longer than i thought it would. The claims team takes a whole day to reply to you even for simple questions or responses. Claims themselves can get a bit technical such as the diagnostics store having to put “accidental damage” yet they did not mention this to me when i took it to them. Paid out on the day they made the decision.

EDIT: Due to improper pictures, they rejected my claim. Obviously I was very upset - because I think that they should have some sort of system to prevent this. However, after speaking with the customer service I spoke with a manager, Riley, and she was great. They honored the claim and asked that I republish the photos and can help if there are any issues. I will stick with the plan and am happy they have a good manager that handled the issue professionally. If you choose to go with this plan take the photos exactly as required in the instructions!

The phone was dropped onto the sidewalk and even though it had a protective case it fall on the screen's edge and broke the screen. I submitted the AKKO insurance claim and Wow!!!! I have been a computer engineer for over 40 years and many of those years as a tech support manager, and this whole process as been one of the most pleasant. I sent them an email with pictures of the damage and they sent me the address to get it repaired. Once repaired, I paid the bill at the repair site then emailed AKKO with picture of the receipt, AKKO reimbursed me the repair cost minus my deductible. The process was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend AKKO insurance.

Akko has the easiest claim process I've ever experienced. My TV screen was damaged and someone from Akko guided me through the claims process and from start to end only took a few days and this was because I had to visit a repair shop. Before switching to Akko I used Asurion Home Plus for two years and when my high-end wifi router broke (the router cost $300,) they had me ship it in for repair, and even before they received my router, they told me it was unrepairable and sent me $40, which wasn't enough to buy a cheap router. They also refused to send my router back instead so I can send it to the manufacturer for repair. Akko was way more professional and helpful and actually paid out enough for me to replace the damaged TV. I'll def be recommending Akko to my friends.

Fast easy claims just make sure you post all photos of phone for your claim to get paid but otherwise quick
