I got Akko after my daughter accidentally broke my new Samsung Odyssey G5 in late 2021/early 2022. I had never had a semi-high end monitor before, and they are much more delicate. When I got another Samsung G5 monitor , I I decided to try Akko. It was nice to learn that they let you add one smartphone plus several electronic devices to your plan for the same monthly or annual price. Fast forward to March of this year, and I finally had to file a claim, but it was for my iPhone 12 Pro Max. The process was fairly seamless, and the payout was quick and easy l. The only thing that could be better, I think, would be to have us only pay the deductible for repair, and Akko directly pay the repair.

Upon purchasing my new S22 Ultra for the cost of 2 mortgage payments, I was distraught to learn that I would be unable to carry insurance for it through my provider. To Google I went to a 3rd party insurer. Akko had such good reviews that I thought it was a scam. Or that they were paying people to say nice things about them. There were not, however, many other options, and certainly none with such great reviews. So I did it. It was incredibly affordable to pay for the year up front and then not have to worry about it. I dropped my phone on a concrete floor a week ago and broke the screen so badly that I couldn't use it. I got my old phone out, got the claim started and uploaded pictures. It was approved, no exaggeration, in 4 minutes. Very clear directions to print the label, package up the phone and send it to be fixed. The repair company and Akko were in contact with me through the entire thing. I paid for the cost of the screen replacement ($382) and sent them the receipt. As soon as they received that, they verified my phone number for Venmo and sent me $333, the total minus my $49 deductible. It was SO easy and quick. I can't say enough good things about this company. Just do it.
