I had an urgent care issue and contacted Geo Blue for a list of contracted providers. Every provider I went to who GEO Blue told me was contracted, weren’t. I ended up paying for services. I am paying a very high premium and this is so disappointing. I am convinced they don’t have any contracted hospitals in Mexico City. I will be reporting them to the state commission to investigate for gals advertising.

We used GeoBlue for several years (6) for our child who studied abroad in Asia. We had a good experience with them. They were easy to access and communicate with. We did not have any major clams except routine visits and medication which were covered. Overall, I would recommend them for this purpose.

Their predatory business model ought to be illegal, and in fact it is illegal now in the US but they skirt the law. They go out of their way at every turn to find fault in their customers, reaching for any possible shred of a reason to charge their customers more or exclude coverage. Then without discussion, they try to justify this practice with a toxic non-reason, but the fact is that it’s morally wrong. I don’t even have preexisting conditions but I found the whole process of trying to work with this company to be deeply offensive. No regard for medical opinion, everything is based on their actuarial's opinion of how much money people are worth.

Absolutely atrocious. I can't believe I made the mistake of paying for this insurance for not one, but two trips. I'm diabetic and ran out of continuous glucose monitors after my airline lost one of my bags on this most recent trip. I have an international number, so I can't call their "24 hour emergency help line", which is U.S. based even though it says accepts collect calls. LOL. Yeah let me just go find a phone that can do that. Oh wait, it's 2023. Mobile phones cannot. Finally found a way to call on mobile (using a Skype number, US based), got "transferred to the right department", or so I was told, then was put on an endless hold. After an hour of being on hold, I pressed option 1 to have them call me back. I also submitted their online form that says it's "the fastest way to hear back". It's been days. With no help from the insurance I paid for, I walked down to the local pharmacy and purchased a manual glucometer. I will never use GeoBlue again. What a scam.

I got GeoBlue voyager essential for the three months my daughter and I were abroad. Everytime I needed to see a doctor, I needed to apply for the GOP a few time I went to the ER and had to pay out of pocket. I did not use the insurance but my daughter did. Towards the end of our stay, my daughter needed to see a doc but Geoblue delayed the request to allow the insurance some time to end. Wouldnt use it again.

They deny my application because my Prep medication were too expensive, which is bull crap. Sexist and offensive. I hope they will get out of business!!

As an international student, I have used GeoBlue a lot and never had any issues.

I have been paying a massive amount of money monthly to my US Insurance company and have been living overseas. I never sent in any claims. Geo-Bue handles their overseas claims. Now I have just sent in few and the service has been terrible! No one seems to know what is going on there. I send a claim and then they send a form letter saying they need more information even though I have already sent them the information. I will be looking for other insurance for sure.
