Do not buy. Worst customer service. New $3K refrigerator. Broke in a month. Told 4 weeks for tech. Hours on hold, told 1 week for tech. Tech doesn't show up. Told another week for tech, who says major problem both evaporators, parts back ordered, we should replace but is overruled by tech office because warranty says repair. More hours on hold to speak with customer service, told someone will get back to me in 48 hours. Call the next day, told they must do a parts review that will take 5 days. Meanwhile I have 5 people in the home including a 100 yr old and another who's medication must remain refrigerated at all times. Am told they can send $100 for a mini fridge, how is a mini fridge sufficient. The systems seem to be set up so each cog has no authority, can only read a script and tell you how sorry they are, how they understand your frustration and appreciate your patience. My patience is exhausted. Replace the lemon you sold me!

GE does not stand behind their products
I will more than gladly give a review. We bought a GE air conditioner less than a year ago and it is still under warranty to have GE not stand behind their product at all. Not only will I not buy a GE product again but i will suggest no one else does either. I have sat on hold for over 2 hours today with no help at all. That was the third call we made today. I wish people actually stood behind their products and actually did their job to help the customer. I strongly suggest people not buy from this company.

I purchased a new GE gas dryer
I purchased a new GE gas dryer. It did not work properly day one. GE could not or would not provide warranty repair in my area. After three months of phone calls, escalation and wrangling, they reimbursed me for the cost of the dryer, less, haul away, installation, gas installation kit, etc.
The repair of this unit required three service trips and cost nearly $450, requiring replacement of three different components that were defective WHEN NEW!!!!
What kind of quality is a factory fresh unit that has multiple defective parts?

Worst “customer service” experience ever
This has been the worst customer service experience of my life. What should have been a simple repair has resulted in thousands of dollars of damage to my home. A technician was supposed to repair the water dispenser in our built-in GE Monogram refrigerator but apparently did not hook up the hoses properly. I awoke this morning to find water bubbling out of our kitchen walls from behind the refrigerator and streaming into the home theater below. But worse than this, I called GE to get an emergency repair appointment and was told no one could come for FOUR DAYS! In the course of 3 calls I asked to speak with a supervisor twice, but he (Mr. Lewis) refused to take my call (one representative even told me he was standing right there, but he let it go to voicemail). Because there’s nothing as simple as a local shut-off (no, it’s not under the sink), I’ve had to shut off water to the whole house and will have to move into a hotel until the repairs are done, hopefully four days from now. And I have not been able to speak with consumer relations because, like their technicians, they don’t work weekends, either. Apparently GE finds the four-day delay worth the cost they will have to spend to repair the additional damage that will undoubtedly cause to my home, which will probably include mold remediation along with wall, floor and ceiling demolition, as well as my hotel bills. Based on this and past experiences with GE repair services (which I did not review but which were less than satisfactory), I will never buy GE again and will advise friends and family to steer clear. I’m advising all readers to do the same.

Don't buy GE
I don't even know where to start. Every appliance I own is a GE product. I never had an issue but the last purchase I made (a dishwasher) has become a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE . The after sales service is horrendous. Getting through to someone to help is horrendous not tension super annoying and a waste of time. They never get back to you. Email after email and no answe AT ALL and this is from a management person.
I am so over this that I will NEVER purchase a GE product EVER AGAIN.

GE gas dryer almost killed us all
Bought a GE gas dryer. Immediately had issues with it not drying well. Tech came out and had to replace the gas valve and reconnect the gas line. Still doesn’t really dry clothes, but we’re dealing with it until they can come out again.
Then we start the dryer & 30 seconds later the room is filling with gas- like a lot. I’m standing next to the machine with my 2 small children as we all smell it.
I immediately shut off the power and turned off the gas valve.
GE’s response after 4 service calls and 2 appeals? No sorry - we won’t replace it. Apparently the lives of the 5 members of our family aren’t worth the $1,000 price tag of replacing the unit.
They literally do not care that the machine they sold, fixed multiple times and replaced a gas valve on (so they are clearly liable) has had the same valve fail yet again and could have killed people. Buy from literally any other company - like anyone else.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with GE
We ordered a freezer February 9, 2021 through Directbuy. When the didn't come and the Purchase date continued to postpone longer and longer, and we then attempted to cancel, as we found a freezer locally. We needed one desperately. WOW suddenly this freezer has been delivered at the end of May. The vendor had apparently gone back and forth with GE and I was told today (July 13, 2021) YOU would not take it back. So now on top of having 2 freezers I have to pay storage fees for 1.5 months!!!! I will NEVER buy GE anything again just for this reason. If you won't honor YOUR RETURN policy you don't deserve any of our other business. Which means upcoming purchases of dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc ( as ours are getting old)... not to mention small ticket items.
The purchase order still states a delivery of January 2022!

Save yourself the headaches!
My experience with GE has been so awful, it actually has become absurd. For starters, GE makes very crappy products. Even when you buy the "upgraded" models, every appliance is subpar and cheaply made. In my new construction home, the washer (top of the line supposedly), drains the clothes when it feels like it. The dryer requires 3 hours or more of drying time to fully dry a load. The upgraded French door fridge only cools items and is never actually cold and to boot, the doors are not even aligned. The piece de resistance, however, has been the ludicrously awful customer service I have been dismayed at in my recent situation with my new fridge. It was installed in my home on June 15th. However, the home developer must have made the purchase for it sometime before. From day one, the water and ice did not work at all. I called GE and they insisted I needed to plug in a bypass plug to prove that it was what they suspected: a faulty filter. They sent out the bypass plug, taking a full two weeks to arrive at my house. Upon using it, it was confirmed the filter was faulty. I called them back as instructed to let them know so they could now replace the filter. Nope. They now informed me that filters only had a 30 day warranty. This was a brand new fridge that never worked properly from day one, mind you. I said that would not be a problem since it had been less than 30 days. They demanded proof that the fridge had been installed less than 30 days prior. I emailed them a letter (official on letterhead) with the installation date of June 15th. The date of this phone call was July 8th. Even though the letter was from the home developer of my new house, they decided to say it did not suffice and instead demanded I show proof of purchase. It went on like this until they drove me to utter frustration. All of this for a crappy filter that costs them pennies on the dollar. These greedy companies that put out such subpar products and have the audacity to treat their consumers with such disdain would be out of business by now if it were not that they do contracts with home developers and building owners. The homeowners on new construction or tenants in apartment buildings then get stuck with GE. No one who has actually owned a GE product and had to deal with this ridiculous company would ever buy another GE appliance under any circumstances! Boycott this brand! Even no name appliances perform better!
