• “FTUK? More Like FT-Not-UK” 🇬🇧❌
FTUK markets itself as a UK-based prop firm, but that name is deeply misleading. Despite calling themselves “FTUK,” they are not regulated in the UK, not authorised by the FCA, and have no legal right to target UK customers. Using “UK” in their brand name gives the impression of legitimacy that simply isn’t there. When I raised a complaint with them, they ignored it completely. No response, no accountability, no resolution. For a company charging large fees for “challenges” and promising funded accounts, refusing to engage with complaints is a major red flag. Their own terms make clear they aren’t subject to any proper financial regulation. That means no consumer protection, no ombudsman, and no safety net if something goes wrong. At the same time, they accept customers worldwide, even in regions where they aren’t authorised, which shows a complete disregard for rules and trader protection. The reality is that FTUK is an offshore operation using a UK-branded name to win trust. But there’s no UK oversight, no guarantees, and no accountability when issues arise. Don’t be fooled by the branding — this is not a UK-regulated firm.
Response from FTUKSep 19, 2025
Dear Callum, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We would like to clarify a few points for accuracy. FTUK is not a broker or financial services provider, and we do not market ourselves as such. We are a proprietary trading firm offering simulated trading programs designed to assess traders’ skills, with the opportunity to qualify for funded accounts. As such, we do not require FCA regulation, since we do not provide brokerage services, investment advice, or handle client funds for trading in financial markets. You have been with us since September 2023 and have purchased 15 accounts during this time. We value the trust you have placed in us, and we are committed to directly resolving any issues you may have experienced. We understand how important transparency is in this industry, which is why we strive to make our business model as open and straightforward as possible. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further concerns. Kind regards, FTUK
