Avoid Avoid Avoid- thieves that pay no interest. Their customer support is minimal at best. And if you just leave your account alone with your money in it, they will come aong and steal your money, calling it an abandoned account.Boycott them and let them go out of business.
Not recommended at all unless you like getting robbed.

Worst bank EVER!!
Worst bank EVER!!! This is insane what I’ve been thru. Trust me you will not find a routing number on their app! I opened a checking and saving and after jumping through hoops, loops and going thru fire I finally had to call and get a routing number. Don’t try to add external banking accounts nope you will not do that from your normal phone browser! The checking account needs to have atleast 3k deposited within 30 days of opening or you won’t get the bonus they offer BUT they won’t let you transfer but 2k every 30 days online so make that make sense! Once these bonus hit I’m out! I’m telling you run now and thank me later

I opened an account 2021 and I knew you…
I opened an account 2021 and I knew you have to close it 0.00 balance. This year 2026, I availed their promotion to open CA and SA to get $700 thru online. I always have some questions and follow ups by calling them and none of the agents told me that I can’t get the promotion because I still have an account opened. Then the 90 days period to get that $700 , they told me that I am not qualified. For 90 days they took my money , I’ve wasted my money and time then they’re telling me I’m not qualified. 3 agents said they will make a resolution but no guarantee, they’re very rude. This bank kept my money for more than 90 days without any resolution. This is my first time to experience this kind of treatment. I will never go back to this bank EVER again.

If you like a frustrating and difficult experience
Website is NOT user friendly. Layout is terrible. Hard to find images. And you can no longer sync with Quickbooks or even download transactions to import into Quickbooks so all your work takes 3 times as long.

After 6 years with this bank
After 6 years with this bank, both my in laws (who’ve padded away) and my wife and I are finally away from this horrible financial situation. First, I’ll share about my in laws experiences: turned down twice for credit cards and once for a car loan. Why? Not his 800 credit score? Nope no reason given.
Then our experience-once in awhile we would have a positive visit. They show on their sign “advisors” so I asked. One man met with me one time and after that never return any phone calls or emails. Awesome.
Final experience-closing out both accounts. First after my father in law passed we were joint holders on the account and I showed POA. But, no, they ran me around. They said that they needed proof of my mother in laws death-something I’d taken onto the bank when she passed two years earlier and was told “it is not necessary.” Then I reminded the staff that an obituary is a matter of public record for one, and for another after a person’s death it showed on every credit bureau. But no-that wasn’t “how they worked.”
When I went to close our account, the fine gentleman (who was waiting on no other person nor on the phone) said “I’ll be with you in a few, pal.”
Pal? Are you joking?
So can the four of us recommend First Horizon? Absolutely not.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Run away and take all your money. The branch manager Keith made a mistake and would not make it right.

Lakeisha H.
Dear First Horizon Bank Management,
Dear First Horizon Bank Management,
My name is Lakeisha Herbert, and I have been a loyal customer of First Horizon Bank for approximately 11–12 years. During this time, I have maintained a personal account, a business account, and a church account. I have always handled my finances with integrity and have never had any issues or concerns regarding my banking history.
I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding my recent experience involving a check deposit made through the mobile app.
After depositing what I know to be a legitimate check, I contacted the bank to inquire about its status. During that call, my concern was escalated, and I was informed by a representative that the check was suspected to be fraudulent. This was both confusing and concerning, as I had been expecting this payment and had documentation to support its validity.
Following the bank’s guidance, I contacted the issuing company and attempted to connect them directly with the bank representative. Although initial attempts were unsuccessful due to timing, I went in person to the branch before closing. While there, the representative contacted the issuer directly. The company verified my identity and confirmed the legitimacy and purpose of the check, including specific details that would not be known to any unrelated or fraudulent party.
Despite this direct verification, I was informed that the matter would require further investigation. I fully understand and respect the bank’s responsibility to prevent fraud; however, I was deeply troubled that even after verification from the issuing company, the check continued to be treated as suspicious.
“Additionally, I was concerned that I was not granted even partial access to the funds. While I understand the check was being reviewed, I was not given an expected timeline for resolution. I also requested that the check be rejected if it could not be processed; however, that request was not accommodated.”
I must also respectfully express that the nature and extent of this situation has caused me to feel unfairly scrutinized. Given my long-standing relationship with the bank and my consistent account history, this experience felt inconsistent with the level of trust and respect I have previously received. I cannot ignore the concern that my treatment may have been influenced by bias, as I do not believe the same level of doubt would have been applied under different circumstances.
As a result of this experience, I have begun removing funds from this branch, as trust is essential in any banking relationship.
I am requesting the following:
* A clear written explanation of why the check continues to be held despite verification from the issuing company
* The specific steps being taken to resolve this matter
* A defined timeline for resolution
* A review of how this situation was handled, including whether proper procedures and customer care standards were followed
I value professionalism, fairness, and transparency. I am hopeful that this matter can be resolved promptly and that appropriate steps will be taken to ensure that no other customer experiences a similar situation.

“I am an African American customer, and despite the check being verified multiple times a representative of Indian descent, the manager Ms Beaumont, continued to call it suspicious. Being repeatedly dismissed even after confirmation raised serious concerns about unfair and potentially discriminatory treatment.”
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.
Sincerely,
Lakeisha Herbert

Changing my bank and closing this…
Changing my bank and closing this account as soon as I can open a new account. Charge exorbitant fees! They have every alert available through the app and website except low balance. This is so they can charge overdraft fees. They charge $35 for $2.15.
