I started working with the Financial Gym soon after graduating. Over the past few years my situation has changed drastically including two cross country moves, a big new job, a pandemic, a marriage, and now venturing into freelance work. Victoria has been there every step of the way - always open, always thoughtful, never judgmental, and rolled with all the punches! I feel more confident having the Financial Gym in my back pocket.

I've been a FinGym client since May of 2019. I cannot say enough amazing things about this organization. They have truly changed my life and brought me peace of mind in an area of my life that I've struggled with for so long. I came to them with $15k in credit card debt, a rent I couldn't afford, and no budget whatsoever. I've been working with Joy since day 1 who has been the most amazing resource to me. She's empathetic, incredibly knowledgeable and insightful, and easy to talk to. I struggle in life to accomplish things if it's not mindless. FinGym makes the process effortless and mindless. I was honest with Joy about my struggles, my goals, and my needs. My need to be successful in a lot of things is someone to hand me a plan and say "do this exactly." That's what they do! They help you determine the best way to allocate and stretch your income to pay off your debt, and still save towards your life goals, and help you find a place to store your money where it even earns REAL interest (not that crappy less-than-zero % most banks pay). They also implement other tricks such as credit card hacking - utilizing 0% balance transfer offers to reduce your interest rates and payments, for example - to help be even more successful. I paid off all my credit card debt within a year, and managed to go from no emergency fund to a safety net of over $20k in cash with literally no effort whatsoever. Every time I have an unexpected expense or an unplanned bump in income, I can email Joy and she'll get back to me super quick with a "this is how I would recommend you handle this." I've even had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Shannon, the founder and CEO, and cannot say enough amazing things about her. She's one of the loveliest people I've had the opportunity to spend time with, and it's no surprise that her personality and attitude propagate throughout her entire organizational structure. Thanks to Joy's plan and FinGym, I've paid off my credit card debt, kept it from recurring, been able to travel without having anxiety about how to pay for it, had an emergency fund to dip into for those unexpected expenses, and been able to create savings buckets for other expenses such as known annual bills (car insurance, taxes, etc), car repairs and parts, medical expense, and more. TL;DR: FinGym is amazing and worth the nominal monthly fee to have access to amazingly talented and insightful people who are brilliant with money at any time with any question whatsoever. I cannot say enough about how much better my life is knowing that my money and spending habits are working FOR me and not AGAINST me for once and not living in constant anxiety that I might run out of money or be caught unprepared for an emergency expense.
