I have used Finalround AI for 1 interview and didnt find it useful for me. I took a 3 month plan and I have cancelled the subscription the next day itself and was waiting for refund to reflect in my card. However, i didnt receive refund, so when i reach out to their customer support (it was AI customer support) it denied the refund saying window has crossed. When i asked for a human support, it said there is no human support available, only AI support and repeated same response every time. I don't know how to reach out to them now.
I might change my thoughts if they provide refund.
Subscribed to the Max plan because they advertised access to the latest AI models. No latest models were available for selection. Tried to get a refund within 3 days and they refused, claiming I “used it substantially” because 2 sessions lasted over 30 minutes. Their policy basically forces you to evaluate the product without actually using it. Completely ridiculous.
Their AI coding scan is useless. Gave it a berribot test, realistic task and it failed completely. Waste of money and time. Do not subscribe.

150$ per month?
I'm sorry... But how the hell is a single month 150$, while yearly is 25$ (monthly) x 12? If the month to month was 30$ or something in that ballpark, that would be different. There is no way in hell I am paying 150$ just to try out a service. Also, it uses Copilot... Instead of an AI specializing in job interviewing. You might as well just use Copilot, ChatGPT, or Gemini yourself, while using a site called Huntr to track your progress.

I have subscribed to finaround.ai and found that it was not a suitable app for me so i requested cancellation on very next day but got an AI assistant reply saying that I am not eligible for refund. I tried to contact them many times but only AI assisted response.

I purchased Final Round AI because of…
I purchased Final Round AI because of the advertised 72-hour money-back guarantee for first-time purchases. After trying the service, I realized it wasn’t the right fit for my interview preparation needs, so I submitted my refund request well within the 72-hour period.
Unfortunately, every attempt to contact support resulted only in AI-generated responses. I have been unable to speak with a real customer support representative despite multiple emails and support tickets.
My refund was denied because my usage was considered “substantial.” While I understand that companies have refund policies, I was disappointed that I couldn’t have my case reviewed by an actual person or discuss my individual circumstances.
I am a university student in Germany, and the subscription cost of around $200 is a significant amount of money for me. I explained that this refund would make a real difference to my financial situation, but so far I have only received automated replies.
I’m not writing this review to attack the company. I simply hope Final Round AI improves its customer support by allowing customers to reach a human representative, especially for billing and refund issues. Having a real person review cases would make a huge difference.
If someone from the Final Round AI team reads this review, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could manually review my case.

Thank you for your time. I still hope this matter can be resolved fairly.
Response from Final Round AIJul 23, 2026
Hi Erencan,
Thank you for taking the time to share this, and for being fair-minded about it — we understand that as a student the subscription cost is significant, and we don't take that lightly.
We did review your request against our published 3‑Day (72‑hour) Money‑Back Guarantee. That guarantee applies to first‑time purchases only when the service hasn't been substantially used during the period.
In your case, the usage recorded on your account during the eligibility window was above the threshold that qualifies for a refund, so unfortunately we're not able to process one here. You can see the exact criteria in the "Refund Eligibility" section (point 3) of our Refund Policy: https://www.finalroundai.com/refund-policy
Your feedback about making billing and refund questions easier to escalate is genuinely useful, and we've passed it along. Thank you again, and we wish you the best of luck with your interviews.

they refused my refund using a 'fewer than 3 sessions' rule that appears nowhere in their published policy
I signed up and found the platform slow and confusing. I could not use it properly, especially for coding at the same time. So I cancelled after only 2 days.
They advertise a 3-day money-back guarantee. But when I asked for my refund, they said no. The reason: I had 3 test sessions of 10+ minutes, and their rule says you must have fewer than 3 sessions.
These sessions were not real interviews. They were only test calls I made myself to check if the system worked. I even invited myself from my husband's email to test it. I explained this to support. They refused to reconsider.
So the "money-back guarantee" only works if you almost never open the product. If you test it to see if it works for you, you lose the refund. This condition was not clear to me when I paid.
Support was polite but it was all automated responses. Nobody really looked at my case.
I cancelled my subscription. I recommend others read the refund conditions very carefully before paying, or choose a tool with a real free trial instead.

I’m giving Final Round AI 2 stars…
I’m giving Final Round AI 2 stars because I found it helpful for phone screenings and basic interview preparation. However, I would not recommend relying on it during live interviews. In my experience, it sometimes responded too quickly, had difficulty recognizing when the interviewer had finished speaking, and occasionally treated general conversation as an interview question.
My billing and customer support experience was also frustrating. I believed I had canceled my subscription in June, stopped using the service, and my account displayed that I was on the Free plan. The company later told me they could not find a completed cancellation record. I was charged $150 on June 29 and another $150 on July 13, even though both charges were described as monthly renewals.
Customer support acknowledged that there was a synchronization issue between the billing system and the account display, and they confirmed that I had no usage after the July 13 renewal. They still declined my refund request based on usage from earlier billing periods.
I understand that companies have refund policies, but based on my experience, the billing process felt unclear and the resolution was disappointing. I recommend keeping screenshots of your subscription status, saving the cancellation confirmation, and monitoring your payment method after canceling.
