Bought a fender rumble studio 40 amp through gear4music( who are awesome btw)…..master volume indication doesn’t work on screen and not easily possible to connect to wifi. Its main function, amplifying, works fine and extra sounds seem nice…..but wifi is an issue. How difficult is it these days? I got an answer to my problem by mail and it sort of fixed it….but not completely. It won’t stay connected….. very unstable. Update: wifi (=intermittent on/off) and Bluetooth(lags behind on sync) highly unreliable, to be honest, don’t buy this rumble studio amp for that….it doesn’t add anything to the experience of the amp.

Bought a Fender Champion 100 in 2016. First one shorted and began smoking seconds after plugging it in and turning it on. Returned and replaced, no problem. Thanks to Sweetwater where it was purchased. The replacement amp was used sparingly for a few years in a smoke free, climate controlled home studio environment. Then one day I turned it on and the lights on the amp did some flashing and it never worked again. It was a few months out of warranty, so I took the amp to a locally authorized Fender repair center, more than willing to pay for the repairs out of pocket, though disappointed it failed after such little use. After a couple of weeks of sitting on the job, they called to tell me there was indeed an electronics issue but Fender was not supplying service parts for the model. It could not be repaired. I simply don’t understand why Fender would put an amp on the market designed to be disposable at $400. Granted, not a big ticket item, but for a working class musician that’s a bit of an outlay. In hindsight, after the first one blew up so quickly, I should have returned it for another brand. I now have had a Vox amp from the same price range for 3 years which had seen much more use and it has been nothing short of flawless so far. Bye Fender. (Got rid of my Strat too.)

Fender Play website is a disaster and the content is clichéd and shallow. Given up even trying to use the site now. Their guitars are "pot luck" for the buyer, some are good some are ok and some are terrible. Like all big companies they lose interest in looking after their customers.

Update: Within 24 hours of reaching out to Fender Consumer Relations, I received an email from the Consumer Relations Manager. He quickly got to the bottom of why my guitar was taking so long, sorted out some order confusion, and moved my guitar to the top of the Fender Custom Shop queue. He offered an additional guitar or amp of my choice for my troubles. I was immediately sent an Acoustasonic Jazzmaster, and within two weeks my custom Jazzmaster electric arrived on my doorstep with a personal note from master builder, Ron Thorn. And dang- is this guitar a thing of beauty! Thank you Fender corporate, consumer relations, and Ron for making my dream of having a custom Jazzmaster happen- and thank you for renewing my faith in a brand that I've loved since childhood. ------------------------------ In June of 2020 I put an order in to The Fender Custom Shop for a Jazzmaster. It was a dream my whole life. But you don't want to hear about my dream. So let me tell you about my nightmare. I was told by Fender that the guitar would take 6-9 months and I put in a nonrefundable deposit. The deadline was extended to 12 months. But I was patient. In June 2021 I was told that the finish was tricky and they wanted to give it more time to set. In August 2021 I was told that the neck was made of rotten wood and that it would be a couple more months. In October 2021 I was told that the bridge was out of stock due to supply chain issues. In February 2022 I saw Jazzmasters from the shop's Instagram with the bridge I ordered, so I asked what the deal was. They said those were "special" builds but the bridge would be in soon and I'd have my guitar in April 2022. Today, April 8 2022, I spoke with my dealer. The deadline has been extended to June-July 2022 with no other reason given other than those previous reasons were not true. My dealer believes that the guitar has not been started due to the "cryptic" nature of his conversation with his Fender sales representative. If Fender had been honest with me- told me that they didn't have enough staff to take on all the orders that were placed. That there was no expected deadline. I would have understood. But these lies show that Fender cares nothing about their customers. It just took advantage of the fact that many were stranded at home with nothing to do during a pandemic so they took on more orders than they could deliver with nonrefundable deposits. And now we're all (still) waiting. Waiting for the truth and waiting for our guitars.

I've got Fender Vintera Jazzmaster and one of the strap buttons was loose and cannot be tightened as the screw keeps rotating and tone control is broken too. The quality control at Fender is deteriorating dramatically so you will need to do a lot of work by yourself to be able to play Fender guitars as normal which is extremely disappointing when you pay such an amount of money. If you can avoid Fender, you should.

Fender does not support their products and now make a lot of rubbish. My Fender twins foot pedal went missing the amp is garbage without one. Fender’s response was buy a new amp..no help at all. They market the old image but basically sell trash.. P S. bought a G&L guitar made by George &Leo the original creators of Fender and the quality is spectacular...

Hello out there, I purchased a brand spanking new ‘Newporter acoustic guitar’ from Fender UK in January 22. When it arrived I was so excited, however after closer examination I discovered that not all was well….first I realised the strings were rusty, on further inspection I realised there was residual glue on the neck where it joins the top of the body plus various light scratches just under the bottom of the last fret……I was so disappointed, perhaps a botched repair job I thought. I contacted Fender UK, they informed me of the returns policy which were duly met & I retuned the guitar, & this is where it all went wrong. I requested a refund which was approved & consequently waited some days expecting to see the money in my account, apparently there was a transaction cliche, “you will receive the money asap”…..nada…. The money finally arrived in my account after 5 weeks & some stern words with the manager….. A point of grave concern with this product!!!! A tag on the neck of the guitar informed me of a California Proposition 65; WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm….. I’ll let that speak for itself…. I never in my wildest dreams expected this kind of treatment from ‘FENDER UK’ Rob Storrie (retired sound engineer with 45 years of experience in the music industry)
