I purchased a gift card for my sister and used a Paypal balance (big mistake). I entered the wrong email address for her. I reached out to customer support to correct the email. No response ... for 2 weeks now. I figured out how to change the email address through their online portal, but that doesn't work (changing the addresses and clicking save, doesn't actually save the address). Since I used my paypal balance, I can't even dispute the charge with my credit card company. Yikes. Beyond disappointed with Fandango.

I wish I didn't even have to give a star. My experience is the same as most. They were completely unwilling to help me. I tried to purchase tickets on a Wednesday night for Friday showing. And noticed that the purchase was for a showing that Wednesday night literally minutes before the movie post time. I immediately tried to call. Thanks to all our ads and shotty software, I could not get anybody on the phone in time before the movie posted. Their policy is if you try to get a refund after the movie has posted they will not accommodate you. Within a matter of minutes I lost $80. Never again while I use this service and I hope no one else does either. I don't know if I feel like I'm being treated like a criminal or they just outright stole for me. I would also like to add my wife was recently diagnosed with MS And we are now a single income family. This is only the 2nd movie we have attempted to go see in the last 2 and a 1/2 years. Thanks Fandango for kicking people while there down and treating them like dirt.

As stated by all previous reviews. Fandango will never help you regardless of the situation, customer service has a lot of excuses but will not try to work with you, not even for a credit. If you contact them before the movie starts or few minutes after, is always the same excuse "we can not help you, no refunds, no credits". This company is one of the worst I have dealt with. They only care about the money they make and not the service they provide.

I was already ready to stop using Fandango due to the incessant popover ads that sometimes happen while trying to find a movie time and theater... and due to them always asking for reviews after I paid a fee to use their service in the first place. But now there is no doubt that the company has gone downhill. I accidentally selected Friday instead of Saturday while making a purchase. I didn't know until I got a message asking how I enjoyed the movie -- except it was still Friday night. I emailed and asked if there was a way to just get tickets for Saturday (I don't want a refund, I just didn't realize it purchased tickets for Friday). Fandangos customer support completely ignored the email. I emailed a second time on Tuesday and informed them that I would be using another service since they can't even be bothered to reply and say "Sorry, we can't help, maybe talk to the theater manager." ... Still absolutely no response and it has now been two weeks. When a company has so little regard for their customers that they can't even reply and tell them there's nothing they can do to help, it's time to move on to a better company. UPDATE: It has now been 5 months and I have been happily using AMCs A-List instead of Fandango. While I still wouldn't get a refund, I get 3 free movies a week, so it would be negligible. Not to mention I don't have to pay fees, which makes it only a few dollars more to pay for 12 movies a month than for one through Fandango. I save money as long as I see at least two movies a month, which I already do. Enough said.

I received a $25 gift card and was actually able to use it to watch one movie(from the 50’s). I then received an email that the balance was being transferred to vudu. Funny thing, no balance was available to transfer, or check. Several emails were sent to the company with a response that someone would contact me in 72 hrs….nothing. What a racket this is…one minute you have a balance, the next it is magically erased. I am going to spread the word wherever, whenever, and to whomever I can.

Bought tickets three hours before show. Had the only seats sold in the theater. Got the confirmation. Showed up twenty minutes early and had to wait in line to use my confirmation number same as if I was paying cash. Line so long we were missing the the movie. Fandango won’t process a refund after the showtime even though they acknowledge my confirmation wasn’t used and I’m on the phone with them during the show. Worst customer service response in years. Unbelievably worst corporate policies I’ve seen in years. Never again will I give them a penny. Stay away as they’re a crap company!

Bought 2 tickets, never received them, never got a confirmation number. They refuse to refund. Have filed a claim with my card company. Stay away from Fandango!!!

Hope that you don't ever have an issue that requires anything other than the automated system because their customer service is NON-EXISTENT. I needed a refund for a purchase because I booked the wrong theater. However, due to the fact I used a $5 dollar promo this could not be performed via the automated system and I needed to contact customer service. All I received was an automated response telling me to how to initiate a refund or exchange through the system. No s#!t Sherlock, I already attempted to do that. Do you think they attempted to resolve this after I informed them? Of course not because there's nobody actually working the damn issue. It's all automated.
