FandangoReviews of fandango.com

Fandango has gotten way too expensive for convenience fees. It’s almost as much as the cost of the movie I used purchase a few years back. Also I keep loosing whatever points I get from using the so called convenience service. I am purchase my tickets at the theater now saving money. Goodbye greedy fandango.

$2.19 in "convenience" fees for a $7 movie. Enough said... No more convenient than an AMC or Cinemark app and I can pay a 30% surcharge

I attempted to purchase 5 matinee tickets this last Saturday totaling $80 after the ticket prices and the service fee. Put in my card info and the app told me that I did not have active internet and my purchase did not go through. My wife then purchases them straight from the megaplex site no problem, without the service fee I might add. Then Monday comes around and my wife contacted me at work, stating that your site did charge us for the tickets afterall! I contacted Fandango and had to write out my complaint, only to receive a call back later by someone who barely spoke or understood English and I barely understood them enough to be told it would take up to 72 hours for a decision. Within minutes I received a message stating that because I was reaching out with the problem after the movie time there was nothing they would do for me. I told them the problem was with there app and there was no indication that the sale went through. No email with a QR code for the movie, nothing charging my account the day of. As far as I was concerned, I had no reason to call the day of. In hindsight, I wish I would have read the reviews prior to my using the app, but I've never had this problem before and I've used it many times before. It look as though this has happened to alot of people. Common practice of ripping people off I guess. This was the last! I deleted it from my phone.

All I did was request a rental refund because the movie wasn't in English. The movie is advertised in English, but plays in a foreign language. This is the response I received for a simple rental refund... went to a small town theater located in Antioch, Illinois after purchasing tickets online. Got there and there were no more seats for me and my family, we literally was 3 minutes late. Called fandango customer service and the situation was escalated just to get an email 10 minutes after the call saying they couldn’t refund because the movie had already started. Yeah! I explained the situation the customer service representative had me thinking they would give it some thought after being on the phone almost 10 minutes for nothing. I’m super unhappy and would not recommend using this app, especially if it’s a small theater there is nothing that could be done about this. Not sure who fault it is the theater or fandango for selling tickets that were not available. 😡 My 7 year old is seriously unhappy, we’ve been anticipating this movie all weekend. NEVER AGAIN BOTH THUMBS ARE DOWN FOR THIS APP, THEY WILL SELL TICKETS THATS NOT THERE AND WILL NOT REFUND GIVE CREDIT NONE OF THE ABOVE

Improve the website had to refresh the page payment processing problems when page refreshes it resets any movie picks. Purchased tickets for certain day refresh changed the date without any notice. Will never use Fandango no go again. They refused to help used to go to the movies all the time never again. My family friends and anyone I can tell about the Fandango scam.

I bought a ticket for the wrong movie theater and i have proof. I had too buy another set of tickets at the same time at the other movie theater, not even for the same movie we wanted too see. Therefore I had no time to call fandango at that moment because the movie was starting and it was i the basement with no cell service!!! Fandango refuses to give me a refund of $30 !! Do You guys understand that the movies are not cheap and its a Treat for us this day and age! with that being said Help your customers DONT ROB US !!!!!! We stick by you through pandemics and all supporting the movie industry and we get nothing in return but bad customer service!!!

Absolutely horrible. It used to be much better but has gone completely down the drain. Every movie I have tried to watch is worse than the one before it. Most of the movies seem to be filmed on someone's phone. After trying to stream a handful of the worst movies i've ever laid eyes on, I uninstalled the app.
