We ordered six custom composite shutters for $900. They appeared beautiful in the box, but upon taking them out of the box, we discovered a damaged shutter, and to our horror, they are made out of painted pressed wood. The corners easily chip away, and they are not returnable. I wouldn’t pay money to install them on the house. Customer service argued about their quality. Thus far, I have not received a response from the company.

I am adding to this review to validate what others have written previously, because the reviews are true. I am not sure how I missed these reviews before I purchased, because I certainly would not have purchased from a vendor with so many negative reviews. I purchased paint able raised panel shutters. They looked like plastic. The plastic was filmsy and you could see through. The workmanship was shoddy; there were open seams and gaps on every panel. I $229.62. After complaining, I was permitted to return at my cost. Shipping cost me $56 and I was charged a $80 restocking fee. What I find most concerning is that the company continues to sell a very substandard product under the tag of "made in the USA" and is selling vinyl that looks and feels like hard plastic because what they sell fits the scientific definition of "vinyl". Their product is absolutely poor quality. Shame on them. Under no circumstances purchase custom blinds. They are non returnable, nonexchangable, nonrefundable. In addition, for compliants they must be registered within 72 hours, not 30 days. By, the way note that their shutters are made by perfect shutters.com so beware of them too. Dissatisfied customers must unite!

Where is the option for zero stars! It kills me to even give one star for these flimsy pieces of crap shutters. Just received 2 pairs of raised panel vinyl shutters and highly disgusted with quality of them. Thinking it was just my lack of knowledge, I showed them to my contractor who just laughed at them when he saw them. He tried to hang them for me and the cheap plastic screws just bent. So now we have to find other screws. The shutters are flimsy and scratched. The seams are not sealed so you can see thru them. These shutters are just HUGE pieces of crap and waste of our money! I am sure I will get no where with returns or customer service so we will try to install them for now but all other material we need will NOT be purchased from this company.. no wonder why they have a no return policy...they would be inundated with incoming returns as their product sucks. Don't waste a dollar on these pieces of crap products. I thought I did my homework well enough and looked at reviews and pricing. I was mistaken in taking a chance on this company.

GARBAGE & CHEAP!!!! 69" SHUTTERS...THEY GIVE YOU 4 SCREWS PER SHUTTER. COULD YOU SPARE IT? WHAT THE HECK, WHY NOT JUST GIVE 1 SCREW TOP & BOTTOM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHUTTERS ARE COMPLETE GARBAGE. I GAVE MY ORDER # ...PLEASE ID ME & GIVE ME A CALL. I DARE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COM'ON BRING IT !!!!!!!!!

I spent $200 on custom shutters and the first set I received was damaged beyond repair. The box was not damaged at all, so I knew someone at the company placed bent, cracked, and broken shutters in the box to ship to me. This concerned me but when I spoke to customer service about the horrible quality of their product they were not concerned at all. They told me they would never issue a refund under any circumstances. They shipped out a new set which I received today and 2 pieces are broken. I can't even put these on my house. The quality is disgusting and it shows what type of company this is by their lack of concern over the products they sell! This company stole $200 from us and I'm sure we're not alone. Do not purchase anything from Exterior Solutions! They ship products from manufacturers and never even look at the quality of the products their customers receive. It's obvious they only care about money.

Tried so many times to get samples of shutter colors and they just kept dropping the ball. I guess if they can't get samples out I should not trust them with a large and expensive order. Had a lot of time to kill while waiting on hold and decided to read some reviews. Happy I did. I suggest everyone should. thanks Ken and Amanda!

Very poor quality Just received 5 sets of "custom vinyl shutters" Couldn't be more disappointed. I don't expect them to survive even 1 storm and I can't imagine after 1 or 2 hot summers in the south my blue shutters will still be the same color. They are poorly made and very flimsy.

Bad, Bad, Bad! Beware of this company and good luck if you trust the couple good reviews. Customer service is not existent and product is not as described. My shutters were not even the right measurements!
