Still on pending status...I have created 3 tickets and I have received no reply. I do appreciate they are busy but they can still hire more people. Being busy is a pretty poor excuse

I'm shocked at how poorly the communication around this service is managed and would recommend avoiding at all costs. They ask for an incredible amount of personal information and don't send you any type of confirmation and are impossible to get in touch with. I looked on LinkedIn and they seem to have fewer than ten employees, they're based out of Denver. I would be certain they are a sham business if Kraken hadn't aligned with their service. Truly deserving of a zero-star review.

They will request for tens of sensitive/confidential documents, delay the process by months, then reject your account with explanation and retain your documents. I submitted a bank statement, Etana intentionally delayed the review by months so by the time it was reviewed, 90days had passed thus I was requested for another statement. Finally I submitted a new bank statement, then with no explanation or providing an alternative, they said I didn't pass their KYC without asking for proof despite the lengthy process. They are eager to reject accounts. I was only using it due to Kraken, I'm now closing my Kraken due to Etana. Ticket 80200

I created my profile 3 weeks ago, provided all the documents (passport, bank receipt, drivers license) and other requested information, yet still there is no update from their side. I've opened a ticket a week ago, no response. Well, bad luck for them, I am not gonna use their services for sure. Funny that they reply faster on trustpilot than to their own customers waiting for feedback. PS: Etana, don't even bother to ask me for a ticket number, you apparently don't care anyway...

The site appears to be a scam. My payment was lost on their system, which was eventually returned after tedious follow up process. I highly suggest using a different service

I've applied over 1 month ago and still have no news whatsoever. I wanted to acquire some ETH and since I submitted my application, the price per unit went up by $1000CAD. Etana's processing delay will have cost me thousands of dollars. I'm going to have to look into other options.

Why do Kraken make this company the only one that can fund in dollars??? Tried to sign up and absolutely nothing back for over a week, 4 tickets opened and not one reply! Unbelievable!

ANOTHER UPDATE Dec. 2021: 10 months later, now that the initial crypto frenzy dust has settled, Etana is much more responsive to help requests and they've provided consistently-good and helpful answers to my questions. The only reason I still can't give them 5 stars is because I found out the hard way, afterwards, that their withdrawal fee is an uncommonly-high $35... yikes. UPDATE Feb. 2021: I'm now changing this from a 1 to a 4-star review. A week after initially signing up for Etana Custody, which was also a couple days after initially posting this Trustpilot review, an Etana rep began to assist me via email. She was very responsive and addressed every issue or question I had over the course of the past few days, and my account is now fully approved and activated. Apparently they truly are swamped with so many people worldwide currently trying to jump on the cryptocurrency band wagon around the same time. So patience is definitely required... it's a somewhat complex process that just doesn't happen overnight. I do feel much better now about the trustworthiness of Etana Custody. Hopefully they'll soon be better equipped to handle this sudden surge. ___________________________________ (Original post) Currently regretting signing up and submitting so much personal and sensitive information to this company. I never would have in the first place if I had first checked the reviews here on Trustpilot... WOW - even worse than I had suspected. I thought that after waiting 4 days for my status to progress from reviewing to active status, or for a response to the 2 inquiries I sent to their "Support" with zero response was unusually long. But now to find out that everyone is waiting WEEKS to get processed, is a serious disappointment. So far, the only communication I've received from Etana Custody is their initial, automated email stating, "If you have any questions during the onboarding process please reach out to our support team via the support page in our technology." Problem is, their "support" team does not respond, and there is no option anywhere to call or even live-chat with anyone. If they are so overwhelmed with a high volume of new applicants, then business is obviously very good. Why not hire enough staff to at least ACKNOWLEDGE the people who are trying and waiting to give them even more business?? I will update and revise this review if and when I receive some sort of helpful information and action from Etana Custody. (Ticket ID 90902)
