“‘Not Mint’ item arrived used/repacked – no practical resolution for international buyers”
I’ve been a customer of Entertainment Earth since 2022, with many orders placed over the years, including multiple Not Mint items shipped to the same freight forwarder address without prior issues. In this case, a Not Mint item arrived with conditions that went beyond cosmetic box damage: Missing factory plastic ties Broken parts already present Visible signs of prior handling and reassembly Packaging that appeared opened and resealed Customer service explained that Not Mint typically refers to cosmetic packaging damage only, not used or altered items. However, they declined responsibility solely because the order was shipped to a freight forwarder and offered only a return at my expense. As an international buyer, return shipping costs are ~$90 USD, making this option unrealistic. I also confirmed with my freight forwarder that the package arrived externally intact, consistent with the photos provided. I am not questioning intent, but the outcome is that international customers using freight forwarders may have no practical recourse, even when the item received does not align with the stated Not Mint condition. Posting this so other collectors can make informed purchasing decisions. 📸 Photos and video available.
