They steal your money, do nothing to advance your rights or case, ignore all communication. They prolong your debt situation. I spent 5,000 dollar for them to just get debt collector to stop calling and sending letter. I am face with to lawsuits. I have enter into an agreement with one to pay 356 a month for two years and was paying elite 525 and now they still wanted me to pay them 425.00 a month for what? This is a despicable company who preys on the financially vulnerable. They don't pay anything off for you and in the meantime you run the risk of being sued and still having to pay out more money. It is difficult to cancel your contract with them they put you on long hold times thinking that you will just hang up.

We understand your frustration with the unexpected summons. Although this is a rare occurrence, aggressive creditors can sometimes take this step. In this case, your attorney negotiated a significant reduction in the amount demanded, from $13,054 to $8,544.
While this immediate challenge can be daunting, it's important to consider the progress we've made. In just eight months, we've identified violations of federal law on three enrolled debts, totaling nearly $10,000. These violations include creditors' inability to provide signed contracts, missing contracts, or incomplete statements. Our next steps involve their removal from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.
Our attorneys have a proven track record, resolving tens of millions of dollars in debt for our clients. We're committed to helping you achieve a favorable outcome. Our thorough process drives results but requires patience and a focus on the end goal. This 24-30 month process cannot be rushed in only 8.
Regarding your request to cancel representation on December 30, we initiated the process immediately.

Horrible …
I signed up in 2023 and have received multiple summons. All of which I have had to pay the full amount. (They were able to get me monthly payments) However, I have been paying ELP approximately $1,050 a month - So I’ve paid over $15,000 already. I have asked by phone and by email which credit companies they have dealt with. They continuously say that they are still working on it.
Initially, they told me it would take about 5 months to get feedback from creditors. Yet, each month I still paid my $1,050. I never received emails or anything in writing as to what they had been working on. Every payment was paid - (FYI- I didn’t bounce any payments)
ELP stated that they have a monthly check in (with you - the client) by phone. If you miss the call- then you missed out. I called multiple times and asked for updated emails or something in writing. I requested speaking with someone and sent emails asking for updates in print. The person I spoke to said they weren’t allowed to give information by emails or mail anything. They can only give information by phone. Yet, when you do speak to them they just say they are working on it.
I had about 13 creditors that they were working on. So far, I’ve received at least 4 summons.
How is it that ELP can’t or won’t give their own clients written reports of what’s happening and updates? Instead they simply state that they only give information by phone. Yet the information given is - we are waiting to hear back from creditors. So far, they have told me none have been resolved…well except with the creditors that have summoned me - in which the lawyer that has worked on my behalf from ELP - resolved it by me still paying full amount to the creditors.
So- after paying over $15k to ELP- I’m still paying these creditors 100%.
Is this going to continue to happen with the other creditors they are “working on”
If so, how have I really benefited from their practice?

Thieves and shysters
They steal your money, do nothing to advance your rights or case, ignore all communication, and threaten to drop you as a client when you advocate for yourself. This is a despicable company who preys on the financially vulnerable. You should all be ashamed and will never know allah’s embrace or jannah.

We believe it is important to clarify this client’s situation. During their time as a client with our firm, 4 of their 5 legal fee payments were returned due to insufficient funds, which created a significant obstacle to maintaining our representation. Despite these challenges, we made every effort to communicate and address the matter with the client directly on 8/20, 8/21, 9/18, 9/19, 10/18, 10/21, 10/22, and 10/23 but were unsuccessful in reaching them.
As a professional organization in good standing with the state bar, we are bound by ethical standards and are committed to fair practices and supporting clients who adhere to their agreements. We wish this client the best moving forward.

Nothing worked out in my favor
Be very cautious if you decide to go with ELP, although everyone has different situations and ELP has helped other people. But if you are someone who is in a similar credit card debt situation like mine, keep reading. Anyways, right off the bat, I was told by ELP they would send out cease and desist letters to my credit card companies, then after a number of months, they would demand my credit card companies to validate my accounts. But if they cannot validate them fully and correctly after a few more months, they will try to demand them to be dropped, after that, there’s no telling how many months they will take or what to expect next, then it’s just a waiting game it seemed. And you cannot negotiate or talk with your credit card companies because by this point ELP has already sent out power of attorney to all of them. But the credit card companies can take as long as they want before they drop your accounts (if they do) from what I was told by ELP. Or the credit card companies can send your accounts to collections and eventually you might be sued. And also keep in mind as your credit card accounts stay open while dealing with ELP, they are still building up interest. The credit card companies or collections can simply avoid ELP and just serve/summons you instead of trying to validate your accounts with ELP, which is exactly what happened to me. Some of my credit card companies did try to validate some of my accounts with ELP, but they didn’t do it fully, or didn’t respond at all, and some summoned me. I got multiple summons served to me at my home. They can simply avoid ELP and summon you if they want to, then you have no choice but to settle because by that point you’re being sued. I was told by a higher up attorney at ELP that it’s very rare for their clients to get summoned/sued. He said only about 1.5% of their clients get served summons, but I find that hard to believe since I got multiple summons at my home. I’ve also called the main ELP supervisor customer service Phone number (as some of their responses to some negative reviews on here states), spoke with supervisors/managers and a higher up attorney directly, and none of them were able to help make things right for a refund/partial refund, and to just settle to avoid a judgement. Also keep in mind if there’s a judgment, there’s also the possibility of having your wages garnished and/or lien put against your home if you cannot afford or can’t pay for a judgment. I even asked customer service/ Supervisor who directed me to one of the main attorneys for a refund of the $6k-$7k i paid ELP for their services over a 10 month span but got denied, and no credit card accounts ever got dropped and that I only got summoned. I had to leave ELP after 10 months because by that point I already got multiple summons and didn’t want to risk getting more summons. So now I’m out $6K-$7k and dealing with multiple summons. I could’ve used some of that refund to go towards the summons I’m dealing with currently. I even would’ve been happy for a half refund since nothing worked out in my favor while I was with ELP and I can use some of that to go towards my summons i got. I then requested at least half a refund and they still ignored/denied me. You’re better off going with another debt consolidation or settlement negotiation company from the get-go, which is what I should’ve done from the beginning if I would’ve known that $6K-$7k didn’t get me anywhere but lower my credit card score drastically, no accounts ever got dropped and I got multiple summons. I’m sure someone from ELP will respond to this review of what I could’ve done or can do, but I’ve tried everything and talked to everyone I could have right before I left ELP and being directed to multiple people/supervisors/a higher up attorney before I ultimately left them before other/more credit card companies might have summoned and sued me. So now I went a different route. I left ELP after 10 months because it wasn’t worth the risk to possibly get more summons if I were to stay any longer

We appreciate your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that our program didn't meet your expectations.
As stated in our agreement, we cannot control the actions of creditors, and unfortunately, this led to the summons you received. However, our attorney negotiated favorable settlement offers within the parameters you requested, and we also deferred three months of payments to help alleviate some of the financial burden.
We understand that our representation may not be the best fit for every individual, and we appreciate your feedback.

They stole my money
They stole my money. They were unable to change my banking info and had me mail in paper checks. With mailing I had to send the checks before the due date and before I got paid. I wrote with the check please don't cash until due date. Well they did and it was denied for insufficient funds. I called to try to resolve the issue, but nobody was ever available to help me. They returned the call, but I was at work and couldn't answer and when I called back once again nobody could assist me. They terminated my account and refused to give me the money I paid into my account. They stated all the money I paid them was earned for services, but they didn't settle any of my debt

We understand your frustration and would like to clarify some key details about your account and the nature of our services.
First, it’s important to address that the cancelation of our services was not related to changes in your banking but rather due to repeated returned payments. Unfortunately, 5 of your 8 payments were returned due to non-sufficient funds (NSFs). While we did everything possible to continue representation, the ongoing payment challenges ultimately made it unsustainable for us to proceed.
Additionally, it seems there may be some confusion regarding the nature of our services. Unlike debt settlement programs, where payments are accumulated in an account to negotiate settlements, your monthly legal fees were allocated to fund our legal representation and efforts to dispute your debts. These funds allowed us to pursue violations of federal law on your behalf, which resulted in significant progress. At the time of cancellation, we had identified violations on 11 of your enrolled debts totaling more than $13,000, and we successfully eliminated one of your debts entirely within just 8 months.
We are proud of the results we achieved during the time we represented you, and we regret that financial constraints led to the cancellation of services. If you have further questions or need assistance with understanding the outcome of our work, we encourage you to contact us directly. We are happy to provide additional clarity.

We take every piece of feedback seriously and value the opportunity to clarify situations like this. In this case, our firm successfully removed three debts from this client’s credit report and was close to resolving three more at the time their account was canceled.
Unfortunately, two consecutive months of non-sufficient funds (NSF) payments made it impossible for us to continue representation, despite our team making five attempts to contact the client and leaving voicemails to discuss options.
Our track record speaks for itself: we’re dedicated to helping clients achieve financial freedom through diligent and effective representation. While we regret this outcome, we remain committed to transparency and exceptional service.

They are doing it
Where do I start, I racked up some debts. Summarizing, ELP is amazing. They overturned some of these accounts and are working on the remaining ones.

Company is friendly. But they are lawyers
Company is very friendly and nice when signing up but treat you like a dirty dish rag when you cancel the program. My intentions were to rejoin the program after working through a rough spot. But the true customer service was revealed. My advice is to make sure this the right program for you and don’t make an emotional decision.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us, and we’re sorry to hear that you feel this way about our service. Our goal is always to provide the best service and care to all of our clients, whether they're just starting with us, graduating the program, or deciding to cancel.
In listening to your cancellation call, we found that Josh was courteous and kind, and he offered an option to help lower your payment. We're glad to hear that he provided you with appropriate assistance, but understand your decision to ultimately cancel our representation.
We have a fiduciary responsibility that we take very seriously, and our legal team stands behind the service they provided. They were able to build a framework for your case that successfully identified deficiencies on 4 of your accounts, including no valid signatures on the contracts or no contracts at all. The next phase of the legal process was to have those debts deleted and removed from your credit report.
You make a very important point. Our representation is not for everyone, and it’s important to give every option very careful consideration. If you're willing, we would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience and how we can improve. Please feel free to email me directly at [email protected].
