I feel like we have been left out of the loop. Then we got served papers for one of the debts. We live in a small town and everyone will know our business. And my husband is a self employed Handyman and it will affect his job

Just so there is no confussion: My name is James Wood. do not waste your money. I hired Elite Legal Practice in September of 2025. 13 months later I fired them. I paid them $377.90 for 13 months for a total of $4912.70. The only contact I had with them was the numerous times I called trying to speak with someone. The only response I had was 2 emails. The first one was 4 months after hiring them telling me they have appointed an attorney to handle my case, and he would be contacting me in the next few days. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. In the 13 months I was with them I never heard from or spoke to a lawyer. The second email was to inform me that the reason I have not heard from an attorney is because they have not received a response from the creditor. That is laughable. In 13 months, they have not had a response from the creditor?? I received a summons from an attorney in June of 2026. I forwarded it to them immediately. I would consider that as a response. I emailed them to inform them that I was cancelling and did not require their services anymore. Almost immediately I received a phone call from them. 13 months of basically no contact, I cancel and immediately get a phone call asking why I am cancelling. I then called the creditor myself and within 12 minutes I had reached a settlement and set up a payment plan for the remainder. They claim a lot of things: "how involved they will be", how they "will communicate regularly", how they "promise to be responsive", how they "are committed to clear communication, transparency and personalized attention." They claim they "will listen, explain and keep me informed." They claim they "will walk alongside you every step of the way. These are all UNTRUE. Save your money, you can negotiate with your creditors.

I signed a contract with Elite Legal Practice; they offered to either cancel or reduce my debt, claiming the bank lacked the legal standing to sue me. I made payments to them for about two years, but then the first lawsuit arrived for $5,500 USD. I tried unsuccessfully to speak with the lawyer—insisting on a conversation before the court date—but they only communicated via email in English and never called me. Ultimately, they set up a payment plan of $114 USD for 60 months, plus added court costs; in the end, I wound up paying more than the original debt amount. I again tried to speak with the lawyer, but to no avail. I finally terminated my contract with Elite Legal Practice because their representation was woefully inadequate; they made big promises to get me to sign, but failed to actually represent me when the time came. I am leaving this review so others do not fall for this scam.

I truly thought this company would help me. But after their claim of spending $17,000 on my case in 14 months, I was still being harassed. When I asked for a refund, of course they denied it due to work done. If you are thinking about going with ELP, don't. Work with your creditors. They destroyed my credit and now won't refund me because of their claim of spending the amount they claim. Go with a debt consolidation company before you go to this business.

I strongly regret ever signing up with Elite Legal Practice. Before I enrolled, I asked a very direct question: after using their service, what would I still owe the credit card companies? I was told I would not owe them anything and that I would no longer have to make payments to the credit card companies once I signed up. That representation was a major reason I agreed to pay Elite Legal Practice. What actually happened was completely different. I was later served with a subpoena/legal action from a credit card company. Elite Legal Practice offered an attorney, but in my experience, the attorney did absolutely nothing meaningful to protect me, resolve the debt, or prevent the situation from getting worse. Now I am being told that I may still have to pay the entire balance, while the creditor is threatening to go after my assets. So what exactly did I pay Elite Legal Practice for? I paid for a service based on what I was told would happen, and I am now facing the exact type of situation I believed I was paying them to prevent. If I had been told upfront that I could still be sued, still owe the full balance, and potentially have my assets threatened, I never would have signed up. Based on my experience, this service was a complete waste of money. I feel I was given a completely misleading impression of what their service would actually accomplish. I would never recommend Elite Legal Practice to anyone. Before giving this company a single dollar, get every promise in writing, ask specifically what happens if a creditor sues you, and do not rely on verbal assurances. My experience has left me feeling misled, unprotected, and worse off than when I started.

Elite was able to help me through a very difficult time in my life. I appreciate how they took time to listen to my situation and put my mind at ease with how this process works.

Updated Review — Including New Credit Report Damage & Second Summons Elite Legal Services has caused me catastrophic financial, personal, and emotional harm through deception, negligence, and a complete failure to perform the services I paid for. After more than two and a half years of trusting your company, I am formally demanding the immediate refund of every dollar I paid. You repeatedly assured me that my accounts were being monitored, negotiated, and handled. Those claims were false. Despite your promises, I was sued by a creditor, and your inaction directly caused my debt to double. No legitimate debt resolution firm would allow a client to reach this level of crisis. Following your instructions, I stopped paying my creditors—trusting your guidance as an unemployed, disabled person who relied on your expertise. You drained every dollar of my unemployment benefits and every dollar I withdrew from my 401(k), claiming these funds were being used to resolve my debts. That was untrue. When I contacted my creditors myself, I learned that not one of them had ever been contacted by Elite Legal Services during the entire two and a half years I was enrolled. This is not a misunderstanding—it is a total failure to perform the services you advertised and charged me for. Your negligence forced me to sell every asset I owned, including my car, just to pay the creditor who filed suit against me. And even after paying the settlement, my credit report is now trashed. Instead of showing the debt as resolved, my credit report now lists a remaining balance—the difference between the original amount and the settlement payment. This is yet another direct consequence of your failure to act and your false assurances that negotiations were underway. To add insult to injury, a second summons arrived over the weekend. I am now being sued again, because you failed to contact, negotiate with, or resolve any of my accounts. Your inaction has escalated my situation from financial hardship to full-blown financial devastation. Your actions have resulted in: • Loss of my job • Loss of my home • Loss of my vehicle • Loss of every asset I owned • Severe damage to my credit • Emotional and mental distress • A second lawsuit • Complete financial devastation Elite Legal Services has destroyed my financial stability, my credit, and my life circumstances through deceptive practices and a total absence of service. I am demanding a full refund of all monies paid, without delay. Provide written confirmation of the refund and cancellation of my contract within five (5) business days.
