James Wood
Just so there is no confussion: My name is James Wood. do not waste your money. I hired Elite Legal Practice in September of 2025. 13 months later I fired them. I paid them $377.90 for 13 months for a total of $4912.70. The only contact I had with them was the numerous times I called trying to speak with someone. The only response I had was 2 emails. The first one was 4 months after hiring them telling me they have appointed an attorney to handle my case, and he would be contacting me in the next few days. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. In the 13 months I was with them I never heard from or spoke to a lawyer. The second email was to inform me that the reason I have not heard from an attorney is because they have not received a response from the creditor. That is laughable. In 13 months, they have not had a response from the creditor?? I received a summons from an attorney in June of 2026. I forwarded it to them immediately. I would consider that as a response. I emailed them to inform them that I was cancelling and did not require their services anymore. Almost immediately I received a phone call from them. 13 months of basically no contact, I cancel and immediately get a phone call asking why I am cancelling. I then called the creditor myself and within 12 minutes I had reached a settlement and set up a payment plan for the remainder. They claim a lot of things: "how involved they will be", how they "will communicate regularly", how they "promise to be responsive", how they "are committed to clear communication, transparency and personalized attention." They claim they "will listen, explain and keep me informed." They claim they "will walk alongside you every step of the way. These are all UNTRUE. Save your money, you can negotiate with your creditors.
Response from Elite Legal PracticeOct 15, 2026
We regret that the client feels dissatisfied and we sincerely apologize for any lapse of communication that may have occurred. Open and proactive communication is a core component of our client service philosophy, and any breakdown in that communication is taken seriously, as it is not representative of the professionalism and client care we are committed to providing. It is important to clarify that the services we provide are governed by the terms of the agreement executed at the outset of our representation. As is common with legal and advocacy-related work, it's inherently document-intensive and procedurally complex, and timelines are often affected by statutory response periods, creditor cooperation, and the pace at which third-party entities provide required information. As a result, meaningful progress may not always be immediately visible, even though substantive work is being performed throughout the duration of the engagement. Due to client confidentiality, we cannot discuss the specifics of the client's case on this public platform. We are able to, however, emphasize that the client elected to terminate the agreement prematurely. When services are discontinued prior to the completion of the agreed-upon scope of work, the desired results cannot and will not be achieved, as the process requires continuity and completion. By cancelling the work, the client did not allow us to continue our efforts to advocate fully on their behalf.
