Unresponsive support for critical software issue
I use the Elgato teleprompter and its Camera Hub/Prompter software as part of my regular professional workflow. Earlier this week, the software stopped working without any clear explanation or change on my side, effectively blocking me from using the product as intended. I contacted Elgato support on Monday and quickly received an automated email confirming that my ticket had been received. Since this was affecting my day-to-day work, I expected at least an initial human response or some troubleshooting steps within a reasonable time frame. Over the course of the week, I sent two separate follow-up emails to ask for a status update and to stress that this is a blocking issue for my production setup. Despite this, I have not received a single reply from an actual support agent after four full business days. Technical problems can happen, but going four business days without any real response — even after multiple follow-ups — is simply not acceptable for a company in this segment. The lack of communication and apparent disregard for time-sensitive issues makes me question whether I can rely on Elgato’s software and support for professional use. At this point, I cannot recommend their customer service, and I am actively reconsidering future purchases from Elgato until they demonstrate that they take support and responsiveness seriously.

Can you perhaps share the ticket number you have with our Support, so that I might be able to look into this further for you?
