BUYER BEWARE - We have all been told to use a credit card when making purchases, especially online, so you are protected. I can tell you Elan is not going to protect you. I literally sent pictures of me returning a cellphone to the carrier within the return time frame. The cell company refused to accept the return and Elan REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY. I returned the phone and still did not get a refund. BUYER BEWARE. Also, I have an 800+ credit score. Do you think I ever got a rate reduction? Of course not. ELAN is a terrible company in my opinion. I will pay off this card and close my account immediately.

Applied for the signature card through Fidelity and the application was denied because there was an issue verifying something on their end. They never called me or sent me a letter informing me of this and I only found out when I called to check on the application status 3 weeks later. Called them and the first person said it would be an easy fix, then I was put on hold for an hour till i gave up. Called back on 3 separate occasions only to be put on hold for an hour each time before giving up. The absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. This issue still has yet to be resolved. Absolute garbage service and i would not recommend this company to anyone.

Horrible. Waited forever to get through to someone for 3 calls. Just gave up. Then tried again later, transferred twice, no on hold again.

Elan Financial recently took over SkyOne Federal Credit Union credit card accounts. I have never had an issue with my credit card since 2002 now Elan Financial is charging me a late fee of $29.00 when my account was paid on the due date. The credit card was paid on the due date and Elan Financial did not debit it from my account for two days after then they say the payment was late. I called Elan Financial and they would not waive the late fee and as I said I have not been late since 2002. This company Elan Financial appears to be a typical money grabbing company and no one should do business with them!

I don't understand why there are 1 star reviews at all, I give 5 stars because it is DESERVED. I spoke with one lady and she was matter of fact about all of it, well with-in their rights, then I got disconnected and called back. Wait time was less than 2 minutes, and then I got Patricia on the line. She was as professional as the first lady and then her empathy kicked in. Now I have never been late, never missed a payment and always pay extra to avoid interest and still I was subject to high interest on a very low amount. Patricia talked with her supervisor and they lowered the interest rate so the interest charge would be minimal. This is one of the best financial services EVER! They are in business to make money following the rules and policy they read to you up front, and yet they lowered my rate, giving away some of what they earn. UNBELIEVABLE. I recommend ELAN!!!

They hve been stealing my money from the inside and claiming tgey never got our checks. 2 so far that were sent before their bill came the first went over 10 days saying it wasn't recieved. I stopped our check. The second one was sent rgtafer I paid the monthly,and it's been over 10 days. They claimwed they didn't get yet this second check payment. I'll garantee they are holding on to it. or someone has been trying to cash it. Either way when I call there my finances are always crazy not right differnt so someone there is embezzling.

Simply a bad company to have that supposed to provide a useful financial service.When making an attempt to pay the complete balance on my card after the one year of no interest my credit score dropped near 300 points.Until then I had a great credit score now I can not get hardly anything.Naturally Elan disagrees that is what they did but there were so many disputes over time about $30.00 late charges that only they could report since anything else is in 0.00.balance.Those late charges were not warranted.It seems Elan likes to take pleasure in causing emotional anguish in people.It really is harmful to the American People that a financial institution like this exists.For anyone else that has had to endure this type of harm I just want you to know that you have my sympathy!!!

BEWARE of this company they lie to you when you dispute fraudulent charges, they say someone will call you back and no one ever does. They will stretch a dispute out past 60 days and close your dispute stating it wasnt filed in time. Use at your own risk but guaranteed you if take the chance you will be joining the many who they screwed over. I gave them one star only because zero wasnt available!!!
