I just received yet another credit decrease notice from ELAN Financial Services, although the same practices by their cardholder (me) have still been exercised. Much higher monthly payments than the minimum required. No further purchases made (which goes even further than my last complaint in June 2024). Yet I just lost 8 points on my credit report because of their latest decision, which they based on "other account balances" and "how many other accounts that I have open," most of which have a zero balance and have for quite some time. To my current and fellow customers, pay your balances off and close your account as quickly as possible, and for those who may be considering this institution for your purchases...DON'T!

I spoke twice with customer service and asked for a late fee reversal because I was traveling and my payment did not go through on the 15th and when I realized it on the 27th I made it immediately. They still haven’t process my payment and put a hold on my card even though I have been an outstanding and reliable customer since 2015. I asked nicely to reverse the 39.00 and they refused. They don’t care about customer retention or life and or technical issues that interfere with payments. It’s obvious I’m an excellent customer but they don’t seem to care. I will pay off my balance then close the card. Unfortunately this did not have to happen over $39.00 with a lack of communication and compassion for their customers. We all have life and we all pay way too much for fees and interest. There are amazing credit card companies willing to meet their clients on a personal level. Shame on you Elan financial for not showing a human side to your clientele.

"Zero fraud liability"—that's a joke. Try six weeks of back-and-forth phone calls and letters, still with no end in sight. After years of using the Fidelity Visa, I am forced to consider discontinuing the card due to Elan's terrible service.

There is a reason the ratings are so low with this BS company. Just because I changed the institution I pay this card with, they put a 7 day hold on my account....even though they accepted the first payment from my new institution, the second is being held for 7 days. What a bunch of BS!......of course, there is nothing they can do to override this and I have to wait with employees in the field trying to use the card and it being declined even though my dashboard tells me I have plenty of available credit.......horrible, horrible, horrible

this company has offered an Extendedpay program that RIPS YOU OFF!! Not only do they add the minimum monthly payment ON TOP OF THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAYING FOR IT EACH MONTH, THEY ADD AN ADDITIONAL $8.48 PER TRANSACTION EACH MONTH UNTIL IT IS DONE. There is no way either to figure out when it will be done. We are at their mercy and they are ROBBING US. IF DOGE had not eliminated the government agency that investigates companies that do this, I would be sending this to them as they are definitely corrupt and should not be in business!!

Sudden cancellation after paying the entire balance in full. DO NOT EVERY open an account with this firm.

Worst Credit Card Company EVER. Made my usual payment on the 3rd of the month. I get a notice that I haven't paid, and they are charging me a late fee. The woman I spoke to said the payment I made didn't count because it was too early. Make this make sense. So now, my account is in the red and they won't do a thing to make it right. This is the second time they've done this to me. I cancelled my card after the "payment didn't count" conversation. I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. My advice would be to steer clear from these theives and scammers.

Large corporate account. We pay it off completely every single month and have for over 10 years. March's check got lost in the mail so they turned off our cards. We called them and paid it off over the phone that very day. Now they place a week hold on all payments, meaning our cards DO NOT WORK FOR A WEEK each month, even though we do not owe them a penny. We are leaving Elan.
