My family just got up and walked out. They never honored my pre-approval letter.
I had been pre-approved for a certain used car I wanted. I went to the dealer in Cary, NC. The guy would not even let us test drive the car to see if it was expectable. He had me fill out another application which I had done online. He stayed gone for 45 min. and we still had not test driven anything. He kept coming back with cars thousands of dollars out of my budget and wanted thousands down. My family just got up and walked out. The service was horribly and the sale people are rude. They don't want to listen to what you the customer is wanting. They never honored my pre-approval letter.

Horrible experience at the Duluth Ga dealership. They tried to bully me into financing with them. I already had better financing approved and just needed a purchase order. The salesman was horrible too!!

RIPOFF USED CAR LOT
By all accounts, the car we went to look at should have been the car we came home with. Unfortunately that didn't happen, largely because Echo Park couldn't get out of their own way. They are quick to remind you, time and again, that they don't negotiate price and that they are "like Carmax." While that's not a new business model, usually other places don't overlook obvious and potentially damaging issues with their cars. Overall impression of Echo Park was a general sense of laziness among the staff, lack of preparation and product knowledge, unfamiliarity with their systems and absence of hospitality. I would go into more detail but my response is limited. The car in question, a '15 Lexus RC350, seemed to check all the boxes. It had some cosmetic issues but overall, it presented well. But the car had an incredible vibration at idle (likely failed engine mounts). And because Echo Park is obstinate and unwilling to fix any issue that isn't required by state inspection, we left. Priced at $24,299, the price increased to $27,300 after taxes, tags and fees. For that extra $3k, you have the luxury of paying them to wipe their hands clean of any issues on the car, and instead letting you pay for further repairs. Our representative Vic was very pleasant, although unprepared for our scheduled appointment. Each time she left to do something, she was gone for incredibly long periods of time. I'm reluctant to dive deep into the issues because she's trying to make a living like the rest of us. But I will say she had challenges with several things while we were there. After we left, we received a call from "Jared", regurgitating the same line that the car "passed their 194-point inspection with flying colors." Comedically, he followed that up by saying they noticed a "slight vibration" and that it could use a tune up. But rest assured, IT PASSED THEIR 194-POINT INSPECTION! If that wasn't enough to bring a laugh, he said they "replaced both rear shocks and struts." Is it any wonder why people don't trust car salesmen? It's one or the other, pal! To add insult to injury, the brakes felt terrible, with the pads needing replaced soon. Since he's known to say funny things, Jared stated that while they noticed these issues, their shop foreman said "there is nothing mechanically wrong with the car" and they won't do anything further to it. Which means, YOU get to buy a broken car!
In summary, I'll agree they're like Carmax, but more like a dime store version. They're a used car lot full of used car salesmen, with all that implies. They tout that their prices are cheaper than the competition but bear in mind, the issues with the car and their excessive fees may likely surpass their competitors. For us, a stroll 2 miles down the road to the Lexus dealer proved far more lucrative. They had other cars available with similar mileage for less money, and in better shape.

Echo Parks post sale customer service…
Echo Parks post sale customer service is poor. I brought my Jeep Cherokee in for service within the first 30 days because the backup camera would occasionally go fuzzy. They did not bother to run any diagnostics and told me since the error wasn’t happening at the time it was in their shop for service, it could not be fixed. They told me they would make a note that it was an issue that was found within the first 30 days and would fix it if it happened again. However, I brought it in to another auto shop (echo Park In Colorado Springs doesn’t do any car repair at their shop after the first 30 days) they ran diagnostics, found that the internal camera was faulty, and was able to fix it and now it’s working fine. I called Echo Park back and was told since the issue was covered by warranty, they would not cover the $250 deductible for it and would not honor their previous agreement. I recommend going to another dealership that will do the repairs there even after the 1st 30 day timeframe is up and will honor their word. Their call center is also a nightmare and does not return calls in a timely matter.

I wanted to like EchoPark, but I hated it
I wanted to like EchoPark. But their system of no-pressure, non-commission "customer experience" staff means no one is there trying to help you. They don't care if you buy a car or not, and no one is working hard to try to earn your business. We were there for about 3 hours and only were able to test drive two cars because our "customer experience" person had no incentive to help us out. Tons of time standing around waiting. And they don't try to fix up their cars - one was brought out to us with stains on the seats and was just a mess (we didn't even take it for a test drive). Another they had slapped touch up paint on it when it wouldn't have been hard to pop out the dent they were trying to conceal. Would not recommend. Bought a car easily somewhere else where they actually wanted our business.

OVER ALL SERVICE
I called and I set an appointment , I asked to see 3 cars. I talked over all of this with the scheduler. She said we look forward to seeing you, the cars will be pulled up and ready. We went in, and I was told 2 of the cars are in Colorado springs, ONE was available, I said wait , I wanted to see those cars. I was told that for $99 EACH they could bring them down. wow... then I looked at 2 other cars . I then asked to see a third car, my sales girl ( who was more interested in her phone than us) said well it is a Saturday and we have a limit of 3 cars because we need to help other people because Saturdays are so busy. I was shocked. Even with this I stayed and looked at the 3 cars, but I really wanted the one from Colorado Springs so I said FINE bring it down. I was told they would call me when it came in... no calls, nothing, I had to call and ask, then they said almost a week later it would be there. so, I went back. I liked the car, we decided to buy it. it was dark out, so we missed the cracked windshield. I called back and left 12 messages ( I have proof of this) no call backs, I was transferred to people and they would say I need to ask the manager . Then I was told ok, we can get this replaced. I waited again, by now it is past the 7 day return policy no questions asked and I paid cash for this car, was told the glass company would reach out to me... NO ONE called, I kept calling , I got some one who was really nasty and she said the manager said NO we will not replace it. HE will give you $150.00 to help YOU pay for it, NOW mind you we bought a bumper to bumper coverage too. They said its not covered, and I said I want to talk to the manager, I was told he was helping other customers and would get back with me. This is 6 weeks now and I guess the manager has a never ending guest to help. We still have a cracked windshield. I am still waiting for the manager call to explain WHY they will not replace this windshield. so from beginning to end this was not a good experience.

Do not go here.
Do not go here.
I tried to go here for a 2 car trade in. Could not get anyone via phone, email, text, website, cars.com. When i left a Google review i finally got a text to tell me only customers inside store get communication preference. I explained i was 2 hours away and would like to ask questions about vehicle before driving.
No redponse. Their Google reviews are lies. Fake emails used to create multiple accounts.
