Echelon Stride Still Not Working
I have been in constant contact with customer service about how to get a secondhand Stride4S that I got from a close friend working. It never worked for the friend and it hasn’t worked for me. I was told by customer service that I needed to purchase a new motor. I did that for about $125 after tax and shipping. I knew this would be non refundable. I was told that they couldn’t help any more if I didn’t purchase this and I obviously want it to work so I purchased the motor. It still doesn’t work. Customer service keeps asking me 1-2 questions per email about the product I have (like what software is it, what model is it, what outlet is it plugged into) and that has been going on for a month. I feel like this troubleshooting could have been done much quicker with an in person tech or over the phone. I keep being told I need to email. If I don’t email back in 48 hours, they close my file. It’s exhausting. I don’t know that they even care to make it work. It feels more like they are just keeping me busy so I feel like they are helping. I would NOT recommend this product or any other stride product to anyone. Update - Echelon customer service said there was nothing else they could do. They have already had me purchase a new motor for $125. They said I can’t return it but that they will offer me that much off the price of a new treadmill. I would absolutely not recommend spending over $1000 on a treadmill that likely won’t even work. Customer service clearly does not care. You’ll be better off with a $100 walking mat from Amazon.
