Online Veterinary visits may be what we need for our dog due to his past history with fear aggression but it makes sense for all types of pets. It takes out the long waits in vet offices for most pet needs. We have had three visits and the doctors are compassionate, knowledgeable and cost effective. We will continue to use this service knowing that for some things we will have to take our pet into the veterinarians office.

How about some real delivery options?
I like the idea of the service. I don't like the choices to expedite my order. It's $50 for overnight or nothing. So 1 day or 8 really?
Response from Dutch VetAug 19, 2024
Hi William,
Our standard shipping is 5 - 7 business days, and our next-day shipping is $25! You can also have the prescriptions transferred to a local pharmacy :)

Scumbags won't sell me my pets rx drugs if I…
Won't sell me my pets rx drugs if I don't pay for continued unnecessary monthly vet consultantaions. My dog was prescibed ongoing meds they cut of medication subscriptions which I pay for seperate to the vet consultantaions which I paid for a month as that is all I needed. Seems pretty scummy to cut off my dogs meds and then make me pay for services I don't need. Seems like profit comes before the welfare of your pets at Dutch. Not a good way to practice veterinary medicine.
Edit: Ariel, cool thanks for confirming you work for a shady company. You are not an insurance company. You provide a service and you are extorting me to continue buying a service I do not need in order to use one that I do. You refuse to transfer my prescriptions to other online pharmacies only local pharmacies, which is also extremely scummy. You are making my dog ill. You also shipped the second order of my more expensive drug before a month was up but didn't refill the one that was actually due. So I have meds I didn't need yet and not the ones that should have shipped because it was ordered before the one you shipped well before a month was up. You clearly put profit before the wellbeing of my pets.
In the off chance you actually care to provide support rather than make lame excuses.
Order #336478 and Order #318707 same meds not even close to a month passed in between. Then order Order #317022 Cephalexin (Rx) - 250 mg / 1 count was on autoship and placed before my other order and yet you never shipped while my account was still active. Transfer my rx to Chewy pharmacy which like every pharmacy except yours doesn't require me to pay monthly for vet consultantaions I don't need in order to buy my meds that were already prescribed to mt dog. It's super scetchy that you refuse to. You do not care about pets you care about being able to bill me monthly while providing nothing in return. You can absolutely do that, any pharmacy can transfer an rx that's not a controlled substance. You can transfer to offline pharmacies, the only possible reason you cannot transfer to online pharmacies is that you or your company refuse to likely because of one of many bs policies your corrupt anti-consumer bs appified vet service has put in place to make me continue paying for services I do not need.

Hi Tristan,
We are so sorry for any confusion. Similar to an insurance policy, the membership fees help operate our platform.
Prescriptions have always been excluded from membership fees, and you've always needed an active membership to use our services.
If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

Had to change my rating from 5 stars to 1
I had to change my review from a 5 star to a 1 star. Don't get me wrong, I do like this company - but when there is a screw up on their end or the prescribers end you're screwed. My cat has allergies and has been getting the chewable version of apoquel for at least a year now, and they should be able to see this in my pets records (as I have always gotten it from Dutch) ... yet I was prescribed the pill version which I can't use (my cat refuses). I placed the order for a 6 month supply to save $25 but apparently as one word was missing from the medication name (chewable) I'm out $533, and of course no refunds and all sales are final. Offered to send back the unused and unopened medication but was told I couldn't. As I assume many customers would, they purchase what they're prescribed without a second thought (especially if it was discussed with the vet that this would be a refill and the medication has a nearly identical name) I am sure I'm not the only one that has missed a word before. The vet and I discussed a REFILL (aka chewables should have been prescribed) but instead I was given these in pill form instead. Missing a word is on me, that I understand - but getting prescribed the WRONG med is on them. Demanding a refund for the money I've wasted on these pills, or for the correct medication to be sent free of charge. I cannot afford to pay $533 for something I can't even use, and I especially cannot afford to spend another $533 or more to get the correct med, especially when this screwup was not my fault in the firstplace. Furious is an understatement.

Outstanding..
Dutch has been one of the best decisions that I have made for my puppers. It has paid for itself ten-fold since I started my subscription in March of this year (2024). Not to mention the time and stress that having the concierge veterinary service that is Dutch at my fingertips has eliminated.
From getting flea/tick/heartworm medication for the puppers, the transfer of meds to my local pharmacy, to scheduling a video call with a veterinarian for a concern with one of the girls, every single need we've had has been addressed with care and efficiency.
A little about their services:
Account setup: Quick and easy.
(Tip: Dutch offers a payment plan for new subscriptions upon setup, if needed, that auto-debits once a month until the subscription balance is paid in full.)
Pet profiles: In depth, straight forward and simple.
(Tip: Have front and side view photos of your pet ready to upload.)
Messaging and text responses: Fast, so fast!
Video call appointment setting: Utterly painless.
(Tip: if you are requesting a video call for something physical (rashes, abrasions, hot spots, or the like), have photos ready to upload in the appointment setter.
Note: You must have your pet present during the video call.)
Selection of medications: Vast.
Prescription transfers: Fast, simple.
(Tip: Have your pharmacy's address and phone number ready to give Dutch.
Tip: If you're a Costco member, request to have your flea/tick/heartworm and other medications transferred to their pharmacy. On average I've saved 40% on my girls' meds doing that.
Note: There is a $5 prescription transfer fee.)
Video call care: Above and beyond to the nth degree.
(Thank you, Dr. B!)
Text messaging care: Absolutely superb.
(Xy, my hero!)
Overall experience: Wonderful. Amazing. Perfect.
If you can't tell, I'm entirely in love with Dutch. :)
