I rented from them a midsize car for four days. My one star review is based on: poor customer service, long wait for check-out, unfriendly clerk, car in poor condition, hidden fees not noted on the website. Really shady business. The advertised price is NOT what you pay at check out. The rental location is in a remote spot so you are kind of trapped and have to agree.

The service was terrible. Our flight was delayed and we called ahead of time to Fox about our reservation, they said no problem, 2 hours is no big deal you have a 6 hour window. We show up here and the guys gives us a hard time and said our reservation was cancelled after 1 hour because you have to call this location. Nowhere in any damn email does it say that. Tells us to hop back on the shuttle to the airport to another rental car place. Then after back and forward he goes into a room and comes out and says yeah no problem you can have your reservation, only caveat is the price we paid for the full sized vehicle they are out of so we got the next size smaller car while still paying for the larger size. On return the shuttle driver who was pretty much useless told us in between him being on the phone talking to some ladies about how he wants to meet up with them that we have to load all our bags in and out. The service is bad, and clearly dysfunctional, but they make their money off of Expedia and kayak where you don’t know who you’re renting from and exploring people. Don’t waste your time going here.

My experience is great, the rep, the offer, I think it’s up to the customers point of view how to handle the situation, the rep the help me his name was Sam, and he was very kind and helpful.

Rude people and bad customer service. This place is to avoid! The price of the rental cars is basically the same than anywhere else but the quality of the car is bad compared to other places. This place looks like a ghetto rental place in the middle of Turkey or Algeria, managed by the local mafia. They will try to sell you their coverage and insist. The worst for me is that I had to drop the car because I happened to have to work all day at the airport. So I parked it on their parking lot, on the side. My mistake was to not tell them and jump in the shuttle which was about to leave. The manager closed my contract, without telling me, and when I came back in the evening, they refused to give me back the car for the 2 additonal days I had paid for, didn't propose any spare solution, I couldn't even rent another car. Even if my rental car was still parked where I had left it, with the tank full of gas... I gave back the car key and had to take an Uber to Hertz where nice people received me and a nice car was waiting for me, and at the same price. I paid 3 days and used only one. I admit I was in the wrong parking the car without telling so, but Drivo manager could have done something, I am the customer and he is the renter. Avoid this crappy place with bad customer service and rude people.

This company is the worst I have ever had the displeasure to work with. Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident and this company left me stranded in a remote part of Maine. I was literally told I was on my own. I had to pay $140 for a taxi ride to get to Bangor to get help. Now I am dealing with insurance and they are charging over $500 for the administration alone. My insurance company tells me that is more than 5 times the average and is usually waived by the rental company, but not Drivo. The car had high mileage on it and the fuel tank was not full when I got it. In general, this company is the worst. I would give them zero stars if I could. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

If I could give a zero, I would without hesitation. Don't let the low prices fool you! If you ever see this company listed as an option choose any other option but them. They have terrible customer service and provide cars that they know aren't in good condition and pass the responsibility on to customers! The car I rented had bad, worn tires on it. The tire unraveled on the expressway almost causing me to have an accident. When I contacted the facility, they didn't even call me back for 5 days. They charged me a deductible and an extra cost for a tire! When the manager called back his tone was very dismissive and behaved as if I was wasting his time. Run far away from Drivo - especially the location near JFK Airport - SOUTH OZONE PARK, NY!!!!

We rented four cars over the summer. Fox Rent-A-Car (alias Drivo) was the only company that: a. required we add insurance, despite the fact that we were fully covered through our credit card because we had international licenses. Add one hundred dollars to their "bargain" price. b. charged $25 so both my husband and I could drive the car c. charged an additional $6.95 a day if we used a toll road d. sent us an unitemized receipt for $175 they took out of our deposit. I assume it was for the tolls and the aforementioned surcharges, but who knows if it is accurate. All of these charges came to an additional $300 over the advertised cost. e. We waited 45 minutes to be waited on even though we were the next in line, and there is no public bathroom. I used the staff bathroom without permission. The car was clean and comfortable. That's what the star is for. Run, do not walk, from this company.
