Rented a car from 9/23 to 9/26. Had my own EzPass but was still charged, i have never experienced that ever with any other rental company, I am also still waiting on my $200 deposit back and i know there is no issues with the rental.

This company had me wait almost 2 hours to get the vehicle. Drivo then charged a holding fee and says it can hold your deposit for 100 days. Their insurance rates are three times the amount Hertz charges. And then I was charged $37 for congestion pricing. I never entered the congestion zone. When I complaint about the charge, I was told I had to prove I didn't enter the zone. I informed Veronica, it was the company's position to provide the photographic proof. A bill was sent again but no proof.

First, I did not receive the vehicle with a full gas tank, yet I was expected to return the vehicle with a full gas tank, or else be charged for this. When I brought this to the company rep's attention upon return of the vehicle, they just brushed me off and moved on. Second, they took a $200 deposit on my card, which is common practice; however, the $200 was not returned until 21 business days (basically one full month) after the car was returned. I never experienced this at any other car rental company. Finally, note that this rental company at JFK is off site and not where the other car rental companies are at JFK. This added an additional 45 minutes to my trip to get the vehicle and an additional 30 minutes upon return of my vehicle.

I have filed complaints with the BBB and NY Attorney General. I experienced excessive delays (2½-hour shuttle wait and 45–60 minutes at the facility). Three days into the rental, the vehicle had a flat tire. I was told I was responsible for roadside assistance and paid $96, only to discover the vehicle had no spare tire. I then paid $15 to repair the tire. I also received a parking ticket because the car could not be moved. I am requesting reimbursement and compensation due to unsafe vehicle conditions and lack of support. Resolution Requested: Reimbursement of $111, coverage of parking ticket, and compensation for delays and poor service. This rental vehicle was unsafe due to the absence of a spare tire.

Drivo is disorganized and their customer service is terrible. My husband rented a car from them and opted out of their insurance because we have AAA (we're from California). Drivo has a computer system that you have to login to get your insurance accepted. The system didn't work. He tried it numerous times. The manager on duty (a guy named Masrafy) said my husband had to pay for their insurance, but could get reimbursed when the car was returned. The idea that was that when I was with him, I might try and (with the right credentials) we could get it to work. We returned the car on a Sunday morning and I tried multiple times to log in on the insurance system (with the correct credentials) and it didn't work. At 9am ET (6am PT) I couldn't get anyone from AAA on the phone to make it right. The manager on duty that morning (Desmond) claimed he couldn't help us. That the policy of Drivo was NOT to reimburse people when the car is being returned - that we couldn't have heard that from the other manager. He was rude and walked away from us. He said the only recourse was to call Drivo customer service during the week. We did that. They were not helpful. We're out $239 for their insurance which we could not get back.

We went there 35 minutes after the scheduled pick up. The person at the counter said that the reservation has already canceled because it was 30 minutes past scheduled pick up. After that, they made us pay more for an upgrade since they said they did not have the car that I booked. It appears that this car rental company entices people with low prices initially but then makes them upgrade. Customer service experience is not very good. I would not rent from Drivo Ace Fox rental car agencies in the future.
