Two water intrusion issues in 1 year! They refuse to fix the issue, very poor quality build. The company does not stand behind its workmanship.

I bought my house in 2020. I paid about 289,000 to DR Horten. DR Horten promised me quality for that price. My house is not a year old. My air conditioner is not working. I called the subcontractor as directed. Emergency response is July 27th. I called the emergency number for DR Horten, not in service anymore. I called the sales office, only open office on a Sunday. They were not aware of a new number. They finally gave me a number that I could leave a message. I had to wait 3 hours for a response t my emergency. The first call back, I was told that the subcontractor couldn't respond quicker but they did tell me that they were responsible for paying up to 150 a night until they could come at a hotel. I have a four bedroom, 3 bathroom house with a kitchen, I should move 4 adults to one room, no kitchen for 10 days. Then today's call back, the representative of DR Horten said hire someone that can come tomorrow, yes it will void your warranty, but you only have 3 months left and their response probably won't improve. I’m extremely disappointed with my purchase with DR. Horton. No quality in the materials they use and they don’t care customer issues. It’s been a year since I got the house and I have too many issues with it. Mice problems and water leaks. They rushed the closing because of COVID and didn’t even schedule a walkthrough. They schedule one on the day of closing and builder told they will fix everything but they didn’t. I’m very very disappointed with DR.Horton. Buy at your own risk.

Unless you generally have low expectations, DO NOT buy a D. R. Horton home. The workmanship is atrocious. All of the community employees lie, lie, lie. It took us over 18 months to get our floors replaced. They were damaged when the installer used benzene to clean it. It took over a year to repair cracks in the ceiling. Each person they sent to do the job did it poorly. There were many, many other issues that were never resolved.

d r Horton is supposed to be building my house in vero beach Florida. It has been at a standstill for over 2 months my closing day was yesterday. They claim their windows are on back order. Houses they were permitted way after mine have gotten windows. Same house. My son is supposed to be starting college which is now on hold. I lost a job offer because I cannot give them a date of when I could start. My mortgage was locked in for 60 days which now I have to pay them to extend the rate and not 1 person can give me any date. You call and talk to someone and they just blow smoke. At this point no one is telling the truth how can you say windows are on back order when every house around mine is getting windows?

My wife and I have a 2020 DR Horror-ton home. Where to begin.. Shoty workmanship everywhere, these houses are stamped out as fast as possible. Corners cut on important areas,mainly the stuff that you look at every day. Ceiling cracks everywhere after only 4 months old. Visible patch and attempt repair in drywall in places in the ceiling. Forget about their so called warranty.. Work done looks worse than before. I could go on and on but you get the point. Will be dumping this house a.s.a.p and building our next house ourselves with hired "SKILLED" laborers. DO NOT BUY HOUSES FROM THIS SCAB OUTFIT.

NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY A DR HORTON HOME!!! WE BOUGHT ONE IN 2018 AND ARE FINDING MORE AND MORE FLAWS DAILY OF VERY SHOTTY WORK. CHEAP LABOR USED AND THE HOUSES ARE SOLD FOR TOP DOALLAR!!! I WOULD NOT GIVE ANY STARS IF THAT WAS POSSIBLE...PLEASE TAKE YOUR CHANCES ON ANOTHER HOMEBUILDER OR AN OLDER HOUSE THATS BEEN AROUND AND YOU KNOW WAS QUALITY BUILT....THESE PEOPLE COULD NOT EVEN PUT IN A DOOR STOP CORRECTLY AND THEN PUT ONE IN WHEN THERE IS NO DOOR!! THE PADDING UNDER THE CARPET IS PEICED TOGETHER, THE SIDES OF THE CHEAP CARPET STARTED COMING UP A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER WE BOUGHT IT, THINGS BREAK ABOUT A YEAR IN, CHEAP APPLIANCES, NO SPRINKLERS IN THE BACK, SPRINKLERS BREAKING IN THE FRONT AND LEAKING, PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY IN 2 STORY HOUSES SAY THEIR TOP FLOORS ARE BOWING, PIPES IN OUR HOUSE HAVE BURST UNDER OUR KITCHEN SINK FROM VERY POOORLY DONE PLUMBING, THE SINKS AND SHOWERS ARE NOT CAULKED PROPERLY, EDGES OF THE KITCHEN COUNTERS PEELING, BACK SPLASHES DETACHING FROM THE WALLS, I REALLY COULD KEEP GOING....STEER CLEAR OF THESE HOUSES! WE WILL BE SELLING OURS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND BUY A REAL HOUSE!!
