It's a great distributor. It allows me to sell books on platforms that I can't directly upload to because of regional restrictions, such as Apple Books and Barnes and Noble. I've been with them for over three years and never had any issues. Their support is great.

I’ve been really pleased with the service offered to me by Draft2Digital. They help me publish on many vendors I either can’t access because of my location, or choose not to go direct with because it’s easier to do it through D2D. They’ve always been helpful and responsive. And notify me of all upcoming promotions that might suit my work.

Worst company I have ever had dealings with
I have never encountered such an unprofessional, rude and lazy company before in my life. I can’t even get past the tax interview after months of trying. I literally copy my tax info from my government w9 lol and draft 2 digital claims it’s incorrect. God forbid one of their lazy employees pick up the phone and call the client to actually help them resolve the matter. Nope, they will only offer support if you can call it that by email which takes weeks in between exchanges and it is written very general which doesn’t help. I have directly asked for help in these emails and get told the tax info is wrong when it isn’t. I feel like I’m applying for the cia with these
People. I have finally given up on even trying. To me, if a company does this do you and can’t even pick up the phone, don’t give them your business. My book is listed on Amazon and their customer service and process is top notch. Draft should take notes from them if they want better reviews. Shame on you d2d!

Great platform
Having recently had my rights returned on my books, I found Draft2Digital and decided to try them. I'm surprised by the bad reviews I have seen here, as I have found them to be nothing but helpful. Their platform is incredibly easy to use and makes the whole process so easy, both ebook and in print. I have also recently helped another author get his books back into circulation through Draft2Digital and this process has also been incredibly easy by simply getting him to add me as an admin on his account. All his financial information is kept private while I can do everything for him with regards to getting his books formatted and issued. I'm so glad I found Draft2Digital.

I sent this message to the CEO and the Support after 3 Yrs from being in their platform and deciding to move on
Update: Be carful! Their support is not professional and can block you for false suspicious and some assumptions!
---------------------------------
Update: I'm gonna have to mark this as solved by D2D Tax Verification Team Support at the final. And change the rating from 1 Star to 4 Stars based on my past experience with them publishing my books since 2020.

Hello everyone,
This is really the most terrible, unprofessional, and nightmare process I have ever faced in my life!
Let me first introduce my self briefly, I'm Soliman, a professor of engineering at the American University in Cairo. If you google my full author name, I own the first 5-6 pages of Google!
I joined D2D 5 years ago and started with publishing eBooks. I had my books published with other publishers in Paperback, Digital and Audio formats before then. I liked D2D at the first glance, that's why I made sure to be one of the first to try D2D Print when it initially started and was in the beta face. I have more than 30 books published through D2D and others.
I never have faced any issue verifying my identity with McGraw-Hill, KDP, Ingram Spark, Google Play, Payoneer, PayPal...etc usually the process is smooth, hassle free and straight forward. In Draft2Digital it seems things are hugely different! There are many and many customers who are giving negative reviews for their experience with D2D because of the KYC awful process (please look at Trustpilot reviews for example). D2D is earning mass of ugly reviews globally because of this frustrated process. Also passing authors informative to a third party company like Lilaham or whatever, doesn't look good; and is a clear break of law!
I'm not sure why I have being asked to submit this verification about my ADDRESS again! It was done when I did this interview in 2021. Nothing changed. Verifying identity is not a frequent thing! It should be done once and for all! Haven't seen this thing ever in my life! Even after I did the interview, I got an email asking to do it again (revise below emails) like if the server is glitching!
When I did this interview last time in 2021, I sent my passport to verify my address and it was done! What happened again? Is your server losing the information and documents? I have an Egyptian TIN that I decided to use to claim the 15% treaty between US and Egypt, what's wrong in this? All other publishers and online distributors I deal with kept motivating me to do this to get a benefit from the treaty percentage. IRS shouldn't deduct 30% from the Egyptian people!
I was trying to just update the tax form in my D2D account with my new EG TIN to claim the treaty benefit (all other information remained the same) and my address never been changed. But not sure why it keeps saying Invalid address! And the guy who called "Lachlan Horsburgh" kept sending me asking for verification documents for my address and identity. Is this guy Trustworthy? Because we are passing sensitive information to him! I do understand he wants to make sure I'm from Egypt and I residence in Egypt. I already sent 5 supportive and sensitive official documents (National ID, Driving License, utility Bill, Passport and Bank Statement). I even had to send them twice! Today the same guy emailed me asking for a selfie photo holding these documents, and I did what he asked but it's extremely funny! Next time I'm going to send him a picture in the zoo to bring some entertainment :)) we need Lachlan to prove he is qualified to do the Tax verification process because things are getting very weird! Not intending to insult anyone, but this guy is claiming to be a compliance officer at Lilaham, while from in his profile he is still an undergraduate student of Bachelor degree. Does Lilaham hire young guys who are still studying and doesn't hold any high graduate certification to do the Tax verification process for customers and authors of a big company like D2D?
I'm too worry about what's going on and thinking seriously of moving out from D2D; leaving very negative feedback to my colleagues and other authors about my experience at D2D.
Although the process is unprofessional, outaged and frustrating I did what I could to verify my identity and my address. By sending MORE THAN ENOUGH official documents stating my information, but the process is also too slow and full of hassles.
DATA PROTECTION & DISCLAIMER
Protection of my personal information is very seriously. All corresponding information sent in this email and in previous emails should be treated as confidential and should be handled in accordance with data protection legislation as well as with the terms of the US and International LAW. Any breakage will result in taking aggressive legal procedures.

Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time - go somewhere else.
As stated over and over again in the reviews, the KYC part is an absolute mess. They ask you to fill in the tax interview multiple times because there is always something. And you can't change the entered data. You have to enter all your data and send the ID again. I wonder what happened to databases? But maybe they have none?
Now, I asked them to close my account, plus additional info sent and confirm it. I wonder what will happen next.
I'm happy they don't owe me royalties because I had just started.

They are absolutely terrible and will…
They are absolutely terrible and will gaslight you till Kingdom come. I ordered a bulk of 200 books and only five of them were the right color. The others were terribly off and every time they wrote back they included the original PDF of the cover and kept telling me that it was orange when it was clearly purple... I just don't understand how you can argue with that, it's not even two similar colors! They kept telling me that the purple ones were wrong and they would refund me for the five purple ones and that the orange color was within the mass printing variance. I can't imagine if someone's face was actually on the cover of my book instead of scenery what their color variance would have allowed. I pulled it up on multiple computers and phones and whenever Barnes & Noble prints it, it's just fine but they are convinced that the same photo I am looking at is orange and not purple.... It's really mind blowing and I've never had such bad customer service in all my life. I just don't understand how an entire company is color blind, I even asked to get another pair of eyes on it and I got an email from the same email account with a different signature on it saying the exact same thing. I don't know how they do business, and reading the other reviews I'm scared moving forward now
