They are a bunch of scammers. They refuse to pay me my royalties. They refuse to take down my novel which they are reselling on Amazon.com.

I was interested in signing up with Draft2digital but it sounded to good to be true. I personally am more interested in exposure than royalties, though it would be nice to make something from it. However I am the type to read the TOS. A more boring document could not exist but with that being said I sent an email to inquire the following: I am looking for clarification on commission vs sale, your website states on the welcome page "When you distribute through Draft2Digital, and a reader buys a copy of your eBook, we’ll take 10% of the retail price of that book, for that sale." Then the Terms of Service states: "Commissions. We shall receive funds provided to us from bookstores that are generated from the sale, loan and other distribution of your Works. You agree that we are entitled to deduct and keep a commission of 15% of those proceeds generated as payment for our services in the Program and under this Agreement (the “Commissions”)." So is it a total of 25% from the sale of an ebook? 10% for the sale and an additional 15% for commissions? Do I have that correct? Please clarify as this is confusing to me and thank you for your time. The result? NO RESPONSE, tells me all I need to know. I am very sorry to hear others went further into their web of lies and got scammed. It sickens me that so much talent gets fleeced in the name of greed.

Draft2digital scammers feed their children with dirty money, shame on them

Bunch of scammers, they will initially allow you to register and publish your book. Later once u start making sales they will use tax documents as an excuse to steal your royalties. Next they will block your account and filter out your emails. God will punish them, their cup will soon fill up.

Stealing Royalties and deleting accounts have been the D2D actions of 2023. After 3 years, and placing my books on their platform, they Now say you Must have a driver's license or a passport, or get deleted. This is not a requirement of the TOU. Nothing in there TOU or privacy policy states they could seize royalties, or provide additional requirements. If you complain, they say "Would you like us to delist it for you." If you think AMZ is bad, D2D is 1000 times worse. Ingram print books will quarantine your books for over 6 months, or "lose" proof copies for months. The Exodus Theory: A Journey into the Spiritual Wilderness. Is a religious book for avoiding organized, incorporated religion. Beware any positive reviews are suspect of their own media consultants. This company needs to be sued in a class-action under the unfair practices Lathan Act.

Awful customer service and unnecessary amount of personal data required. It used to be different a few years ago~ Huge disappointment

D2D used to be great. Not anymore. They are rude, not helpful at all, threaten to taken down your book(s) without notice, because you just fail to provide your tax report, although you've done that like a dozen times. There's always a problem. Whether it's the address, your non-US TIN, believe me, THEY WILL FIND A REASON TO KEEP YOUR ROYALTIES and BAN YOU. So, stay away from D2D. Just another greedy bunch of people who think they're Gods...
