Hit & Miss Experience
Hit & Miss Experience I signed up for the site and was hopeful- except I couldn't get an appointment for a month and a half to begin with. Not a HUGE deal, I figured they only had a limited number of providers. Spoke to a NP, she was incredibly nice and we started a treatment plan with Straterra. I knew within 3 weeks the medication was not doing anything but in order to make changes to the medication I needed to make another appointment. Okay, again, understandable so I made an appointment... One wasn't available again for a month and a half. Paying a monthly subscription for a service I was told I'd be able to make monthly appointments with was not worth it at all. On top of that I was also paying for the medication...so it was about $107 a month. For someone who is unemployed it's a lot but I lost my health insurance when I lost my job. Anyway- it was for my mental health so I sucked it up. Had an appointment in September. I used the link provided in my email to "check in" for my appointment. I sat there for 25 minutes (the length of my appointment) and the provider never showed up. The next available appointment? 2.5 months away. Then I got a text saying I missed the appointment? Customer service was super unhelpful when it came to apologizing or telling me what happened- I just wanted to know if I did something wrong so it didn't happen again. I provided proof I was in my appointment but they still didn't give me any REAL answers. They said they'd schedule me a new appointment as soon as they could...which was, again, in 2.5 months. Extremely frustrating experience. They STILL wouldn't adjust my dosage of medication without seeing a provider... which I understand but if the provider is the one that misses the appointment... you'd think an exception could be made or I could see a different provider sooner? I'm so glad I qualified for discounted health insurance last month through the marketplace because now I can just go see my Dr and he's been extremely helpful. I would recommend this service only if its a last resort and you can wait 3 months between appointments...
