DogVacayReviews of dogvacay.com

My cousin referred me to DogVaca when I told her I was overwhelmed with the cost of quality dog boarding facilities and had overused asking favors of friends. DogVaca offers a variety of sitters all around the city. You can read about them and their own pets on their profile and then request a home visit. My dog's sitter texted me daily pictures and my dog had a great time.

I had to go out of the country for a funeral and just moved to town and didn't know anyone in my town who could take care of my dog. I went online and found dogvaycay and found a sitter who lived two blocks away from me! The price listed on her page was within my budget so I confirmed the days I needed on the website and made my payment to book my dog at her house. Everything was easy, user friendly and convenient.

After reading many boarding horror stories, we were hesitant placing our beloved 5 month old puppy in that situation. In addition, many would not take him because he was not neutered (he could not get neutered until 6 months old) so we were in a bind. With DogVacay, we secured a sitter with a huge fenced backyard, and other doggie friends for him to play with when we had overnight travel. It was refreshing to know he was in good hands and we received picture updates which relaxed the entire family, therefore we were able to enjoy ourselves knowing Bronzie was safe. Thanks!

I don't know what I'd do without DogVacay. I have 2 small dogs. When we moved to the Annapolis area, we didn't know anyone. We were going away for a weekend, and I left my dogs at a kennel...the one with the best rating and recommended by my vet. Well, both dogs were traumatized when I picked them up. The smallest dog (a Chihuahua) didn't eat for 3 days. There were too many big dogs and it was noisy and chilly. I vowed never to leave the dogs in a kennel again. I thought our traveling days were over. Then I found DogVacay! I have used three different providers and all three were wonderful! They sent pictures and/or videos so that I could see how the dogs were doing. They administered medication and gave lots of love to my two pups. The reason I used 3 different providers is because the first provider was booked on the dates I needed. I was so fortunate to find someone else close by on short notice and I love her! I found the 3rd provider when I was living out-of-state for a few months and had to travel. Again, a terrific experience! I love the ease of booking through DogVacay and the responsiveness of the providers. I also like reading the reviews; they were a big help in my decision on where to leave my dogs. I know what the cost is up-front and get that out of the way before our trip. We would surely be homebodies if it weren't for DogVacay. My pups and my husband thank you!

Awesome experience, have used same sitter twice and so thankful that we were able to be connected through DogVacay

We always trust our DogVacy dog walker when we go away! It's a vacation for our dog too!

We love our dog and we love to travel. We've found several hosts to make the latter much simpler. We didn't like leaving her at a kennel-type boarder and didn't feel comfortable leaving her with friends or family for extended trips. This was the perfect, affordable solution!

My father was ill so I made an appointment with my regular DogVacay host for 7:00am; however, my father took a turn for the worst so I drove to the Bay Area earlier that morning (4am?) with my dog in tow. My father was in critical condition and doctors advised us to get his affairs in order. I totally forgot to cancel, realizing after settling back, I contacted the sitter very apologetically and receive a note from them saying, basically, my dog was no longer entitled to come back and they requested a full refund on what I had prepaid. I was ok with loosing the money for the day I failed to cancel; but, to just ban my dog for the future, was ..... I have a large breed dog and DogVacay had only one host in my area so I can no longer use their service. I was disappointed that the host was unsympathetic.
