We have found 3 fabulous sitters through Dog Vacay. We have also encountered one unfortunate experience and one place that boarded on dog hoarding. So the main point is be sure to have a "meet and Greet" at the location where your per will be staying. Trust your instincts and you won't go wrong. We do think this is a valuable service and realize that the final decision is the pet owners responsibility. Go for it!

I had never heard of Dog Vacay prior to finding it during a google search. I needed last minute day care for my 2 dogs while we had work done on our house. I liked that the neighborhood was given in the mini-profile you see after completing your search. I found a sitter right in my neighborhood which was perfect. I also like that you can search for the exact dates you need and your results are narrowed down to sitter availability. I would use this service again.

It was easy to use DogVacay.com for our dogs. Their web site is easy to use and easy to find dog setters close to where you live. So much better then large kennels that have lots of dogs to take care off. Our dogs were always stressed when we picked them up. We will use our sitter again for sure with DogVacay.com! Our dogs were happy when we picked them up. They were treated like one of their family.

This was a helpful service in finding a dog sitter for me when I moved into a new community. The fees charged for one dog were appropriate but there is no discount for a second dog on the same booking (as I have always had anywhere else that I've had my dogs staying). As well there is an additional fee (up to $50) to DogVacay for "training" and "screening" of their dog sitters & walkers. I found a great dog sitter but the extra fees made this more than I have ever paid in the past.
