They did three things: 1. They promised to set up an auto payment, but never did it and never notified me. Because of this, I missed several payments. 2. I then complained to them, but their customer service leaked my and their other customer's information. 3. They enrolled me in a program that will suspend my account, but without letting me know.

Cancelled auto pay without notifying and then sent to credit bureau’s December 8th, 2023 Recently had my checking account hacked so had to open new account and set up new payment methods. Discover decided to cancel autopay without notifying me. Then reported me to all 4 credit agencies for missed payments totaling around $70. The whole time I thought that I was still set up for autopay. My credit score dropped over 100 points. How can you do this kind of thing to a loyal customer who has never missed a payment? How about you make an effort to let your customers know when you cancel autopay? What do you think is going to happen if you cancel autopay without telling someone?

I made the decision to open a checking account with Discover about 2 years ago and I couldn't be happier. It is not a brick and mortar bank, but there are zero fees for having an account with this bank. No minimum balance required and no overdraft fines (I've only been over one time). There are tons of ATM's that you can use with no ATM fees, you just open your account online and put in your zip code and it will populate a list. The customer service is outstanding and if you lose your ATM card they will express ship you anew one free of charge. The icing on the cake is you get back 1% of your ATM purchases just like the Discover credit card, only the credit card gives you 3%, I think. Still I get back about $4 to $10 a month that I have transferred to my checking account when I am running low. Sometimes I save it up for a couple of months before cashing it in. You can deposit money from checks through participating ATM's and put cash in your account at Walmart stores financial hub. I am disabled so i receive a check monthly from SSDI and Discover makes those funds available to me three days early. I have absolutely no complaints with this bank. I highly recommend opening a checking account with them. I also get free checks which I use one a month to pay my rent. Great bank, something I never thought I would say,

I got the Discover It card with hopes of improving my credit score. I paid the deposit with promise of getting it returned after making six on time payments. Several months ago they sent me a message that I only needed one more on time payment to get my deposit back. Well, I’ve made six plus on time payments and nothing. I go to customer service chat and Diane from Salt Lake City, UT told me that they start to consider giving you back your deposit at six months. That’s not what the message you sent me said. I can read. I’m canceling this waste of time and better get my deposit back. Don’t bother as you can see by the many 1 star reviews. Over 70%. That’s shameful.

If the biggest bank in the country which is Chase Bank does not accept your credit card, so what’s the point of you bargaining about yourself that you are a great financial platform? But I think you’re doing it on purpose so a lot of people with Chase and they may want to use your platform to pay their credit, so what do you do is to get a lot of money behind that is to charge for balance transfer 3% of the entire credit!WOW.SCAM

Discover Bank robbery x2 Robbed me twice, courtesy of Discover Bank. Online accounts were hacked/compromised. Found unauthorized transactions on my checking debit card. Called & went through fraud protection, filed a police report, & asked for ALL of my accounts to be locked. This request was also recorded by Discover. 2 hours later an unauthorized transfer of 7k was taken from my savings account. Notified Discover, filed police report, etc. Discover now says they couldn't retrieve the UNAUTHORIZED transfer so tough s**t. Are they not FDIC insured as they claim? Is their online security so bad they cannot prevent this? Are their online reps so confused that my last call was transferred to (7) different people with no resolution? If you have any hope of KEEPING your hard earned money do NOT, repeat DO NOT, put it in any Discover Bank accounts!!! Please learn from experience, dont be a victim like Discover has made me!

I noticed a discrepancy on my statement. I called and the first lady from Illinois helped me go through each transaction with me & also noticed a discrepancy so she transferred me to billing. I reached Taylor at billing who was very rude at assisting me. She started out with an attitude and kept sighing as if I was annoying her. I asked her if she can go through each transaction with me so I can see where I went wrong but instead she kept saying “it all adds up, I’m using a pen and paper and it all adds up and you can’t even do it with your calculator”. I kept asking her if she can just go through it with me but then she sped read through my transactions and kept saying it all adds up. Seems like she really didn’t like her job, my peers overheard the call since she was on loud speaker and there were also disappointed with the way she spoke to me. I asked her to transfer me and I had a very nice lady, Evelyn who kindly went through the transactions with me and showed me where I went wrong. I’ve been working customer service for almost 10 years and I’m always kind to people at their jobs. But Taylor didn’t want to help me at all and she made me feel really bad about myself. Discover should hire more people like the other two ladies than pieces of work like Taylor.
