I used DiscountASP.NET for many years on several sites without ever experiencing a problem. Good service, good performance, good price.

I work whit Discountasp.net since 2 year. Almost never I have issues, but today I need they support and the response was so poor !!!. They are the support team and they tell me review you config settings. The problem was clear and I just need some orientation. Bad :(
Response from DiscountASP.NETJul 19, 2016
Oh Roberto, sorry to hear that. If your problem was clear you should have received a clear response. We work hard on support and take pride in having the best support team in the business. If you would like me to take a look in to your support experience, drop me an email: mjp at hostcollective.com and I'll look in to it. We appreciate you taking the time to do a review, and we really appreciate the fact that you've been a customer for two years. Thanks!

As a semi-retired corporate programmer, I had used a few different web hosting companies to host my client's websites. Although there are cheaper solutions out there, I liked that DiscountASP seemed to be a web hosting company that was developed and maintained BY programmers and FOR programmers. I enjoy the added freedom to experiment and develop in an environment that does not overly restrict a software developer in coming up with custom-developed solutions for my clients. DiscountASP has provided this for me. Their staff has never failed to assist me if a problem was encountered and the sales department have helped me satisfy my clients, even when the client requests sometimes changed 'after' I had made my purchase on their behalf. -Larry- Taylor Systems and Software Design

Thanks Larry, we love reviews like yours because we *are* programmers and developers and code nerds and we did create DiscountASP.NET for our fellow developers who are actually working in the trenches. We're glad to be there for you.

I will give 5 * when you reduce a price a little bit and when you give us more server space.
Response from DiscountASP.NETJul 19, 2016
Thank you Sherfedin. We do increase storage quotas from time to time, but lowering the price is probably not in the cards. There are less expensive hosts, we know that, but lowering prices never leads to an increase in quality, and we have a reputation for quality that we're not willing to compromise. Thanks for taking the time to give us a review, we appreciate it.

Thanks, sometimes "good" is good enough. We'll see what we can do to make you say "great." :)

DiscountASP.net provides excellent hosting for small Websites. Setup and testing with DiscountASP.net was easy from a programmer's perspective. Their e-mail facility, however, is not so good. There are significant delays (up to 30 minutes) in receiving e-mails.
Response from DiscountASP.NETJul 6, 2016
Thanks Charles. The email delays you're seeing are likely to do an anti-spam measure called greylisting. You can read more about it here: https://support.discountasp.net/kb/a282/greylisting.aspx, and if you want to disable it, we explain how to do that here: https://support.discountasp.net/kb/a285/how-to-bypass-greylisting-in-smartermail.aspx.

I have a business website which I rely on for my income. After being with a few other host companies (some very large and well-known) and dealing with one technical problem after the next, I got fed up and moved to DiscountASP. I realize that any host will have some technical issue from time to time, but I feel the staff at DiscountASP cares about its customers. I like that their support staff is in the US and inquiries are responded to quickly and written by people where English is a native language. Not only is their offerings a very good value, but you can also customize your disk space, bandwidth, etc and pay for what you actually use. In my case, it was a huge cost savings. Highly recommended webhost!

Thank you, Dan. We're glad you feel as if we care, because we do! All of our support and system administration - every aspect of the company - is based here in Los Angeles. We remain one of the last independent hosts, and we'll always work hard to keep you, and anyone else who chooses DiscountASP.NET, happy.
