They are extremely expensive and customer service sucks I called to cancel because of the high rates and was on hold for 39 minutes and then had to pay $25 for cancellation. Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with.

Awful company, proceeded to sell my car so cancelled the policy and was charged a $50 fee that was not disclosed prior. Do not recommend, try lemonade or GEICO first‼️

Cancelled my policy 14 days ago and they debited my account for amount due, could NOT credit my account back and insisted on sending a paper check. Beware !!!!!!

I was involved in an accident and almost a week later I was left to wayfind and navigate to find my claim number, adjuster, and phone number. When I spoke to her today, she informed me that she has questions about my claim and just because I don’t have any questions, doesn’t mean she didn’t. She also refused to get a supervisor and wanted to only supply an email group to communicate with. Further, she told me that it would be yet another week until I heard from them. She’s already spoken to the other party to introduce herself, yet I’m the policyholder and being disregarded. As if this wasn’t stressful enough, poor customer service and dismissiveness has made it much worse.

Please do you all a favor and read these reviews. Insurance on your car is there to protect you in case of a accident however these people have little structure and no care for their clients when needed the most !!! Please be careful i am trying to save others from stress

Direct auto lies about their policies. When applying with a dealership you’re told one price for a policy. They recommend you to keep it paperless. After you pay for 2 months they’ll up your policy with no explanation, when you call they will tell you if you didn’t choose to go paperless you would have gotten information stating that you need to submit documents and if those documents are good enough they’ll lower your policy back to its original price, after you pay the higher one they gave you. None of this is mentioned during sign up. For example if you have a $350 policy it gets upped to $550. Once you pay the $550 and turn in those documents its supposedly suppose to go back down. It happened to not go back down as we call again, and they came up with another excuse. After asking to cancel (a few days after we just paid) they gave us a $34 refund and stated we’re not covered for the rest of the month. This company is very unprofessional, they lie, have attitudes over the phone, and have no explanation for the things they’re doing.
