Devoted - Not worth any money you THINK you will save.
We changed to this insurance company in January 2026 for out Medicare advantage plan coverage. Oohhh what a terrible decision that was! I will give one example only because one is enough. I use a BiPap and oxygen during sleep due to both OSA and Central Sleep Apnea. I called Devoted before we chose them to ask specifically about my sleep equipment and was assured it would be covered and they gave me the information to give to my DME so they would begin using this new information beginning January 1st, which I did. Devoted denied all requests for payment from my DME from day one! I cannot begin to guess how many times I called and texted this company trying to find out why they weren’t paying anything. There was no deductible! The DME was in their description of DMEs that they work with. They had assured me before we changed plans that they would cover my equipment right where it was being leased from. Now all of a sudden I am the only one paying on this life saving equipment each month. I have heart disease and two aortic aneurysms amongst other fatal illnesses. I rely heavily upon my sleep equipment because my brain has stopped telling my body to breathe during sleep! Only AFTER I reported Devoted to Medicare did they begin paying anything towards my equipment and even then not the proper 80% but only 50%. They have now past the middle of the year began paying their 80% but refuse to repay me for the months I had to pay both our parts unless I gather and mail them all the proof that I paid. They won’t accept the proof sent from the DME themselves and I have been too sick to find all the bank records that prove every payment and I have no family to help me. Now they are saying I have only had this equipment since they begin paying on it therefore prolonging the 13 months I’m required to lease the equipment before it can be mine!!! I’ve had it for four months BEFORE I ever went with Devoted. This is not the entire story of my sleep equipment nor is it the only problems we have had with Devoted but I’m unable to go into more details because of my inability to write more at one time. Think LONG AND HARD before going with this company. Every time I have to get on the phone with them my chest has become tight and I am having palpitations and pain. It’s not worth any money you THINK you might save unless you are very healthy and have no major health problems.
