The cleaning lady did an excellent job! The room was quite and cool.

All good..time to clean up yard and walk!

Great little room. Clean, quiet and just what we needed. Well located walking distance to the Strand, restaurants, and bars but far enough to avoid the noise. The bed was comfortable and the AC & fan keep us nice and cold on a warm summer day, no problem. Will definitely consider this place first off on any return trips to the island.

Perfect for one person or a couple trying to save money but still feel comfortable and classy

This small property was very well kept and updated especially for its age. Keeping to a European type hotel was good advise since I was not expecting lots of "frills", in which there were none. 1. The sheets/blankets seemed very nice and clean until I found numerous pubic hairs. I am sure (and hoped) they were from the washer or dryer during cleaning, since everything looked and smelled clean, but still disturbing. 2. The air conditioner above the bathroom was leaking water excessively. The floor outside of the bathroom and inside was especially pooling water. Housekeeping should have noticed this previously and advised management. It was there when I checked in so not a "new" problem but I had to step over, or in, water consistently. 3. Nice to have Netflix and other stations like that but I get those on my cable at home. Would have liked some local channels for news/weather etc.also. 4. I am a career property management professional, not a "picky" consumer. If this was one of my properties that I inspected, the manager would have to do some "splainin" to do (to quote Ricky Ricardo). Have stayed in many hotels in Galveston over the years and this was not the worse. Fixing the above issues would have earned 1 or 2 more stars.

The pictures made it seem like a much larger room but it was basically a closet with a bathroom in it. We did not get housekeeping, we tried to ask about it and they just said they would get it the next day. When we arrived there were spiders crawling on the ceiling. There was mold on the shower curtain. When we finally did get housekeeping, 2 days into our stay, they didn’t sweep the sand off of the, maybe, 3 square foot area where we could walk so it was impossible to not track it into the bed. They talk about the complementary WiFi but it hardly worked either, not that we needed it a lot but trying to wind down with a show after being in the sun all day was what we were trying to do. The ac did not work well either so the room stayed muggy and somewhat warm. There was no signage when you pull up so we had to approach the house to be sure the number was correct according to the address. Seemed odd for a place that calls itself a hotel. The entire description is extremely generous considering what you actually end up getting when you walk in. Though I guess “technically” they do not lie. It was cheaper than some but we definitely found out why.

Beautiful home! Upon pulling up, I was a “bit” skeptical but after going inside and seeing how beautiful and clean it was all skepticism left and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was a great location as well !!
