I really don't like to leave a bad review for any reason, but I will give you my honest opinion. My wife and I booked a room at this establishment. We were going on a cruise the next day and decided to drive over and spend the night so we wouldn't be tired from the 5 hour drive. The ambiance of the house was exceptional. The room was nice and clean and cozy. Really the only thing wrong with the room was the bed. We ended up pulling all of the sheets and comforter off of the bed and slept on the floor. The mattress was so soft that it wasn't even comfortable to watch the television. At 4 in the morning, when we finally gave up and moved to the floor. We were finally able to get a couple of sleep. The location was a very quiet neighborhood, the location was very close to the Strand. We tried contacting the property manager to know avail. I would strongly recommend that you pass on this property, for the cost of staying here, you can stay in a hotel with more amenities and a front desk person if you want or need anything.

Only good it was clean. Air did not work had to get up several times at night to take cold shower just to get a little sleep I talk to two other guests next morning they said their air conditioning was terrible . There is no ice machine no drinks or bottle water . It’s an old house their fancy name is a joke .would avoid at all cost .

I think we would’ve gotten more sleep in a hostile. Very old house with paper thin walls and all dilapidated wood floors. The upstairs (owner?) was loudly clunking around until 12, room 5 (do not accept) has bed headboard by front door. 3 individual parties came in between 2-3 am sounding an alarm each time. Very cold with old windows. No walkway or ramp for suitcases. Will never stay there again.

Several things. When I went to read the directions to get codes for entry they had the check in for 3:30. I tried to call, no answer. I wrote them immediately in their messaging, they never responded. Pictures are deceiving. Thought we had a little coffee bar, it’s out in the hall for everyone. Which I think if it’s for all to share, why not add a little ice maker and maybe a microwave? Issues getting in the first time, apparently due to not allowing you in till 3:30. Another couple staying there helped me with that. I was there for a wedding. Hair dryer didn’t work, plug prongs just fell into the hair dryer. I actually helped the couple next door to us when they were trying to get in their room. They didn’t send them their code for both door entries. They were so grateful I was able to tell them mine was the same for both door entries and that worked. Two windows in the room, but 3 are shown on their site. No shower pan, so it was hard to keep your things dry. More hooks would be helpful. No directions for the tv, I’m not that good with smart tv’s, but no information on what channels we could get. Decor was cool, unique hardware etc. for the price of just under $128.00 total, expected a little bit more. A partial credit would be very fair.

If you value comfort or having any space at all, stay somewhere else. The room was tiny which was made worse by the way they had it laid out. There’s no mini fridge and only one tiny trash can. In the bathroom there is no counter so if you have hair utensils or anything else you have to set them in the sink while you use them. The water takes forever to get warm. The bed is hard and uncomfortable, the pillows are lumpy and have no substance so you’re constantly trying to refluff it. There’s only one mirror and it’s above the sink in the bathroom, so no way to see below your neck. Housekeeping turns your air up when they clean. We had it set to 61 because we need it cold to sleep. Came in to nap after having been gone a few hours and they had cranked it up to 68 and turned the fans off. This happened twice. The door to the bathroom is glass, so if you need to use it in the middle of the night, it will light up the entire room. There’s no ledge in the shower so if you’re trying to shave good luck. The doors are extremely heavy and don’t stay open, so coming in or out with luggage is a hassle. The sheets are scratchy and made of a super loud material, every time one of us turned it sounded like someone was crinkling a newspaper. If you’re a single person just looking for a shower and a clean bed it’s perfect. If you’re not traveling alone and have so much as one bag, you’ll likely feel cramped and irritated at the lack of storage or any other space. The rooms are modeled after European dimensions; recently rebuilt and regularly updated, everything is bespoke, from Phylrich bathroom fixtures to Ann Sacks floor tiles. For larger accommodation we recommend our Deluxe options. I tried to copy and paste the text on the website I used to book but it won’t allow me to and this site won’t let me attach. So to the owner of the hotel: go check your business description on Booking.com. No where on there does it say anything you just described. If you’re going to use different sites to book, you should make sure they all say what you think they say. UPDATE: I appreciate you changing your reply after realizing that your description was not as you thought, however, there was only one picture of our room which showed the bed and a hallway and one picture of the bathroom. The description of the hotel said every room had a seating area so I assumed that somewhere off the hallway pictured was the seating area. But the hall just went back to the door and bathroom. So you can say now that the room is as “pictorially described” but when I booked, your description said seating area, so despite your pictures, there should have been a seating area. Most hotels don’t shoot every angle of every room so I wasn’t concerned not actually seeing the seating area. I’ll know better next time I book a hotel somewhere.

Air conditioning unit was not functioning properly during my one day stay. Support staff were unable to assist with repairing it, and or offering any other viable solutions such as offering a fan. Communication with staff took hours for responses and I finally got a message at three in the morning from the manager that there was nothing that they could do. Edit: I was told they could not do anything because of the “heat waves” in Texas. I also rented two other rooms in this hotel that night that had no issues with air conditioning or keeping the rooms cool. I was simply requesting a courtesy fan, but could not be assisted.

The room did not have a view like it said it did. The room was super tiny. The shower did not have a full door. The sink was extra small. There was worms in the morning after we had showered. The next door was coughing all night. We could hear all them all night when we got there. I wish money could be refunded. It was the worse experience of my life. I do not recommend this place.
