About Dekorfine

Dekorfine makes decorative lighting for rooms that deserve a statement piece: textured "ice" glass ceiling lights and chandeliers, brass candle-style chandeliers with a hand-applied antique finish, and nature-inspired designs with walnut-grain rings and bird details, alongside pendants, wall lights and lamps for every room. Most Dekorfine fixtures are made to order at our 12,000 m² (about 129,000 sq ft) facility in Guangdong, China, where the glass, metal and wood work is done and every light is checked before it ships. Made-to-order pieces take longer to arrive than warehouse stock, and the product page and your order emails show the expected timeline. Some items are stocked in the US for faster delivery, and when an item is in US stock, the product page says so.We work with homeowners, interior designers and hotel projects, and many designs can be made in custom sizes, finishes or a matched Pantone color. Listings include full dimensions, materials and bulb specifications, and our team is happy to help with sizing or installation questions before you order.Checkout is handled securely through Shopify. You can return an item within 30 days with no restocking fee, and our fixtures come with a 1-year warranty. Our support team replies within 1 business day at [email protected] or +1 800-715-9483.We read every review and reply to them. If anything about your order is not right, contact us and we will work with you on a fix.

Extremely Disappointed — Deceptive Return Policy and Dishonest Business Practices

I deeply regret purchasing a $600 lamp from Dekorfine. While their website clearly states a 30-day return policy with no need to provide a reason (as long as the item is in original packaging), the company has refused to honor it in good faith. Upon requesting a return shortly after receiving the item — well within the 30-day window — I was met with a condescending and evasive response suggesting that I simply try the lamp in a different space or resell it locally. They implied that because the item was shipped from Asia, I should avoid returning it altogether due to "high shipping costs." This is not mentioned anywhere in their advertised return policy. When I insisted on returning the item as per their own posted rules, they reluctantly sent me a return address — in China — with a completely new and arbitrary 5-day deadline to ship it out ('Return Requirements: Please ship the package within 5 days of receiving this return authorization. If the package is not shipped within this timeframe, we will consider it as your decision to keep the item, and the return request may be canceled.'). This sudden and fabricated time limit is nowhere in their return policy and is clearly meant to deter returns by any means necessary. Further, they asked me to label the package with a false declared value of $10 to avoid customs issues, which is highly unethical and potentially illegal. Their communications felt dismissive and manipulative, and it’s clear this company has no intention of honoring its stated commitments. Instead, they rely on international logistics and vague excuses to discourage returns and trap customers. If you're considering buying from Dekorfine, do so at your own risk. You may be stuck with an expensive item you don’t want and a company that hides behind shady practices to avoid accountability. I will be filing a formal complaint with U.S. authorities, as they are operating in the U.S. market and must abide by consumer protection laws.

Dear Joanna Klara, Thank you for your message. We are truly sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly. First and foremost, we want to assure you that we do our best to honor our stated return policy, and we regret that your experience has felt otherwise. The 30-day return policy does apply as long as the product is in original condition and packaging, and we did provide the return address after your request. However, as you noted, the return address is located in China, where our fulfillment center is based. Due to international logistics and customs regulations, returns can be more complex and costly. The suggestion to consider using the lamp in another space or reselling it locally was intended as a way to help you avoid those high return shipping and customs costs — not to discourage your return. Regarding the request to declare a value of $10: This is a common practice for international returns to prevent high import tariffs on goods re-entering China. Without a low declaration, the item may be subject to steep import duties again, even though it's a return — something Chinese customs often does not exempt. We understand your concern and do not wish to put you in an uncomfortable position. You are of course welcome to declare the actual value if you prefer. The 5-day window to ship the return was suggested so that we can track and manage incoming returns efficiently. It is not part of our formal policy, and we apologize for not communicating that more clearly. We never intended for our communication to come across as dismissive or evasive. Our goal is always to support our customers with both honesty and care. We’re very sorry that you felt otherwise. As a gesture of goodwill, we would still like to offer a partial refund if you prefer not to go through the costly return process. This option is entirely voluntary and is meant to offer a practical alternative. We sincerely value your feedback and will use it to improve how we communicate our policies and support options in the future. Please let us know how you wish to proceed — whether with the return or a partial refund — and we will do our best to assist you. Warm regards, Yulia Dekorfine Support Team
