I missed the consultation by phone, I made a call back as instructed. I was unable to speak with Marissa and was rescheduled for Dec 20.

Consultation with Mariah was fine but the follow up a disaster. None of my medication were called in. When I followed up with Defy and went through ALL of my medications that needed ordering with MICHAEL (spent 20 minutes on the phone with him and he was RUDE) none of my medications were ordered. NONE. AFTER TWO CALLS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. WHEN I GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MICHAEL HE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE TELLING ME AFTER I TOLD HIM I WAS VERY FRUSTRATED TO "HAVE THE DAY YOU DESERVE" THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I had to call in to facilitate this appointment, service said they tried to call me at the designated time, but no calls were noted on my phone. I also feel the cost to review labs is inflated for the 5 minutes it took to review them.

Unfortunately the Dr was stumped and unable to help me with BHRT. For weight loss a steroid drug was suggested an my research showed it is often used for weight gain. Disappointed

I had to contact them several times to get my treatment notes posted to my account so I could order medication. I opted to have one medication called into my local pharmacy. I was charged a $30 call-in fee but it still hasn’t been called in. This medication is a 1/4 the price they charge without insurance. I was overcharged for labs weeks ago and still haven’t heard back about a refund. 2 stars only because Dr. Calkins was thorough and helpful. I’m over $500 in with nothing to show for it.

I saw Dr. Saya on 11/27/23. I was a little frustrated because I did send my bio to Care@defy prior to the appointment but he did not receive it. I wanted to explain as I’ve already been on the HRT for 10 months. I sent my previous labs and what I was currently taking, and how I was feeling, but that was OK. We just reviewed it over the phone. He then prescribed two new meds to me that I’ve never taken before. They did take over two weeks to get but once I started them they did seem to make a difference but after about three weeks of taking, I seem to notice that they stopped working so when that happened I emailed, I called, I got all different answers but I finally found one person that was able to reach out to the doctor and he changed the dosing on one of the meds. I called back a couple weeks after that and let him know there was no change. He said it was still a little early give it a little bit of time and test in two weeks so I did that and then 10 days later after getting the blood work I finally got the results back from LabCorp, I was told that you cannot make a bloodwork evaluation appointment until you are contacted by defy that your labs are in. So my labs were done on 2/9/24. Once labs were in I called to make an appointment to have Dr. Saya evaluate them and I was told the appointment was going to be 3/19 , I knew this date was not gonna work because I’ve already been feeling crummy since the beginning of the first week of January. I could not wait until third week in March and then if he has to change any of my prescriptions I’d have to wait for that on top of the March 19, so I did a little bit of reading. I stopped taking the meds that he put me on. Luckily, I read you have to wean yourself off of one of them so I’ve been doing that and going back to the original dosing but this is a steroid and this shouldn’t be messed around with unless the doctor is making changes but I can’t keep taking all these medication’s and injections if they are not working. So instead of waiting for Dr. Saya in March they had an appointment one week out with the PA but that’s where the frustration level sets in. I didn’t make an appointment with Mike . I didn’t start this process with Mike the PA I wanted Dr. Saya. I was willing to pay for Dr. Saya. All I heard was good things about him. So, to me the day you do your bloodwork you should be able to make an appointment for two weeks out so that you follow through in a timely manner. You can’t not feel well from the beginning of January to the third week in March and that be acceptable or OK I’m in the medical field and that would not be OK in my small office. I feel the system is broken and it’s so frustrating to feel like you’re just lost in the system and having to deal with whoever’s protocol you happen to get. In the medical field, I know all doctors in an office do not agree 100% on the same protocol. I thought telehealth was going to be my answer but i guess not.

I didn’t really like janelle. I felt rushed and I had paid en extra 250 for additional labs and it seemed as if she was in a rush to blow the ast the results. I also didn’t think she had good advice and her follow up was very poor

I never write reviews but I felt that I needed to and it’s taken me a couple of days to think about how to write this. I will be requesting another provider for my next consult. The provider I spoke with did not appear to care about symptoms I have ( insomnia, lack of libido, breast pain and breast discharge. Those are my main complaints right now). He said with my recent labs, he doesn’t understand why I’m not sleeping because my testosterone is in good range. But I am not, and I feel as if he just didn’t care. He doesn’t know why I would have discharge, but let’s just keep up what I’m doing and we’ll check in 6 months to see how you are doing. He did increase my progesterone. He seems nice as a person, but consults are very expensive, and I want a provider that will want to figure out what’s going on. Not…you figure it out yourself and we’ll talk to you in 6 months! Thank you
