Who to believe??? BBB or Trust Pilot conflict
My 10 am house cleaner hadn't arrived by 1:30, so I cancelled. She had messaged confirming 10:00 the night before. At 9:45, her message changed without reason to 11:00-11:30. Next message was an apology, due to the previous client having extra work for her to do. Her final message assured me she'd be at my home by 1:30. By then I had checked reviews of the company on BBB and TrustPilot. They were opposite and not knowing which to trust, I checked my credit card, which had thankfully only been charged for an initial fee of $39. Some of the cancelation fee stories sound pretty bad, so I also locked my card to avoid future charges until after this long holiday weekend, when I will talk to my credit card company. By this point I'm totally frustrated, and angry to perhaps have failed for a scam -- or missed a good cleaning, after totally preparing the floors and surfaces in my home for a professional cleaning. If this company is legit, they have some serious marketing and PR work to do to regain customer trust.
