This "upgrade" resulting from the Prism/Allseated takeover is not really an upgrade at all. What used to take two simple clicks in Prism now requires five long clicks in Cvent. Instead of being able to easily download and save our event setups, it's now a three-step process compared to the simple one-step process we had before. It's almost funny that they flooded us with countdown emails leading up to the takeover, giving us hope that this would be an improvement, only for it to turn out to be a disappointing waste of time. A word of advice: if it isn't broken, don't fix it. The website didn't need 50 different buttons to accomplish the same task.

Not so user friendly and incredibly time consuming CVENT is marked as a user friendly application for events. The initial sales packages were very difficult to understand and required lots of discussion to figure out exactly what was included and not included. The outcome is good but be prepared to invest tons of time into getting the application up and running. The sales pitch makes it seem as if you will have all the help you need, but this was not always true. While they would schedule meetings and you could make lists of issues to address the whole application was complex and required a great deal of meetings, video tutorials and trial and error. If you are paying Cvent to take on and just do the project for you then it is a good end result. otherwise expect to spend 80+ hours getting it set up and ironing out all the glitches.
