We ordered drapes and the Seel delivery protection ($96) extra charge. The drapes were labeled with the wrong name and address on the UPS label. I have spent hours trying to correct with UPS but the tell me to contact Curatarra. Curatarra says to wait. UPS originally tried to deliver July 2 as of July 27 we still don't have the drapes we paid for. The Seel worry free delivery insurance is useless. They say it is too far past the delivery date to file a claim. ***updated review*** 4 stars because they made it right. George in customer service remade to order and gave us a rebate for the trouble. I am satisfied and the drapes are now up and look great. The original shipping was a fiasco with wrong name and long delays but they made it right and I am happy with the quality of the product. I appreciate it when a company has a service recovery like this.

Beautiful fabric. Good construction too. I ordered three roman shades, two were easy to install, the third one was a bit different to install but looks fine once it was up. They really elevated my bedroom look.

Dear Kimberly, Thank you so much for trusting Curtarra with your home and for taking the time to share your experience! We are absolutely delighted to hear that your new custom Roman shades have truly elevated your bedroom's look. Our workshop team takes immense pride in delivering artisanal-quality fabrics and meticulous construction, so knowing that our craftsmanship shines through in your space means the world to us. We noticed from your order details that your third window treatment was our innovative No-Drill Roman Shade system. Because our No-Drill mechanism relies on an advanced, tool-free compression system to lock securely into place rather than traditional mounting hardware, the headrail and setup steps are naturally a bit different from standard shades. We designed this specifically to offer a clean, damage-free alternative for homeowners, and we are so glad to hear that everything is now up securely and looking beautifully tailored! Welcome to the Curtarra family! We would love to see how your new Roman shades look beautifully styled in your bedroom. Please reach out to us at [email protected] if you ever need any assistance with future design projects. Warmly, The Curtarra Team

Quality - pretty good but the lining gaps (does not meet the edge of the seam) at the side seam so not so professional. I thought delivery took a long time and I had to reach out to find out when to expect completion - it would have been helpful if they kept you posted. Reply to Curtarra - It is the side seam I had an issue with not the bottom hem.

Dear Mary, Thank you for your honest feedback and for highlighting the quality of your new window treatments. We sincerely apologize for the frustration regarding the lining alignment and the communication gaps during the shipping process. The bottom side of the lining is not sewn with the drape because of the different flexibility of the fabric; this working standard can avoid the lining fabric being longer than the drape after hanging. Regarding delivery, because our products are custom-crafted rather than mass-produced, the journey from our workshop to your home can take a bit longer, but we realize how important proactive updates are for your peace of mind. We will ask our technical team to consider whether we can keep our clients informed of the production progress to put your mind at ease. Thanks for your kind feedback again. Best regards, The Curtarra Team

The material is beautiful and the curtains are made well. My primary complaint is that the curtains were not crease trained at all, so they don't fall nice and neat. Other curtains I've ordered that are of this price point were crease trained and packed folded perfectly like an accordion in the bag, with a paper band to hold the shape of the folds together. These curtains came in big bags folded in half twice, top to bottom. I'm very disappointed that I spent thousands of dollars and still have to do this process myself, which could have been easily completed from the factory with no down time on my part, especially considering the 4-6 week order fulfillment.

Dear EC, Thank you for your honest feedback and for recognizing the beauty and quality of our materials. We sincerely apologize that the presentation and 'crease training' of your curtains did not meet the premium standard you expected, especially for an order of this magnitude. We want to be transparent with you regarding why this occurred. For exceptionally high-set windows like yours, our standard horizontal shaping machinery occasionally faces physical limitations. However, we hear you—at this price point, the 'out-of-the-box' experience should be effortless. Our Commitment to Improvement: Your feedback has directly impacted our operations. We are currently implementing a new vertical steam-shaping station specifically designed to handle oversized and extra-high panels. This will allow us to 'crease train' and accordion-pack even our largest custom orders in the future. In the meantime, we want to ensure you get that perfect, neat fall. I appreciated being able to get a sample before ordering curtains. The blackout curtain does a great job of keeping the room dark for sleeping. Curtarra's customer service has been great. I'm giving the curtain 4 stars because with the blackout backing, it feels like a shower curtain. It touches our baseboard heater, so I hope we don't have any melting issues this winter.
Response from CurtarraSep 26, 2025
Dear Tricia, Thank you for your valuable feedback! We're glad to hear that our blackout curtain sample met your expectations for room darkening and that you had a positive experience with Curtarra's customer service. Regarding your concern about the baseboard heater, the fabric for our blackout lining is designed to withstand temperatures up to 70 degrees Celsius (158 degrees Fahrenheit). However, household heaters can reach temperatures well above this, potentially exceeding 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) in some cases. For your safety and to prevent any potential fire hazards, we strongly advise against allowing any fabric to come into direct contact with heaters or be close to the heat-dissipating appliances. We appreciate your understanding and hope you continue to enjoy your curtains! Sincerely, The Curtarra Team
