Nah fam
I purchased curology because of all the beautiful reviews it was getting from people with great skin. I had a cleanser that was working okay, but was still struggling with a lot of texture in my skin and since the product advertised as being a help in that area, I opted to try. BIG MISTAKE! I’ve been using this for only two weeks and am literally back to the worst breakouts that I haven’t had since high school. Black heads and a mysterious breakout line all over my nose, and more on my cheeks. So, I thought maybe it’s just the cleanser, and switched back to my other cleanser and kept using the medicine. No difference. I have continued to break out and am dropping the product today. It’s Definitley one of those birch box type bandwagons that try to cater to you with the idea of a free trial. Butt ,instead of being a product you try or would reuse like dollar shave club, it just sucks. You get this free trial for a product to jack up your skin, and then company says that it’s normal for that to happen. In my experience if I break out more, I shouldn’t use it.

Hi Soledad,
I'm so sorry you haven't seen the results you've wanted!
It can often take 2-3 months before patients begin to see results with any prescription acne treatment, including Curology. Some do see results earlier, it differs from patient to patient.
Your Medical Provider is a great source for information, so feel free to message them if you have any questions.
If you'd like, you can also read more about purging here: https://curology.com/guides/skincare/purging/
Once again, I'm so sorry and I do hope you find something that works for you! 💜

HORRIBLE!
HORRIBLE. Made my skin ten times worse. The people who consult aren’t even real dermatologists — they’re PAs pretending to be dermatologists. Fake. Stay away!
Also they tell you that it takes 6-8 weeks to see any visible impact and within the first 3 weeks, there might be more acne. But the trial size only lasts for 2 weeks! And within those 2 weeks, all I got was acne! And more and more scars!
So you don’t even know if it will work for you before you have to pay for it. What’s the point of the free trial then? Your skin will become worse. Don’t trust them.
Horrible. Never going back.

Hi Ana,
All of our Dermatology Providers are either: board-certified dermatologists, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners, so rest assured; you're in good hands!
It's also not uncommon to have an "initial breakout" when beginning prescription acne treatment, and your provider will be happy to give you suggestions.
We offer a free trial to keep Curology affordable, and give everyone a chance to try it!
I'm so sorry you were unhappy with your experience, and I do hope you find something that works for you! 💜

Curology changed my life!
Curology changed my life!! I had super bad acne, and I was so embarrassed to go in public, and I don’t know how to wear makeup so I could never cover it up. I went to tons of dermatologists and they all put me on medicine or gave me stuff that made it worse. I saw an add for curology and decided to try it, and thank goodness! my skin is so clear and I am so confident! Thank God for curology!!

I hope you continue having an amazing journey! 💜

I purchased a free trial using my PayPal account for $5 just paying for shipping and handling. Somehow, the next month they charged my HSA account for $60 for product. I did not care for the product. I am more so upset that they charged an account that I did not give them access to. I am still confused as to how they received access to this account because that account is not linked to anything of mine whatsoever.
Response from CurologyMay 18, 2020
Hi Nakita,
As a subscription service we will continue to send product as long as the account is active according to the plan selected upon signup! And we have no way of gaining access to your financial information other than what was provided to us upon signup. You can always email [email protected] with any questions.

It worked at first...
At first, Curology was working miracles for me. I had so many breakouts, always on my forehead, and curology cleared it up in about 3 weeks. It was amazing how clear and smooth my skin was. I didn't mind spending money on something that was working for me. However after about 4 months of using it, my acne gradually started getting worse. At first I thought it was my diet or the weather maybe. But I hadn't changed my diet or done anything out of the ordinary. It felt like my skin was almost becoming immune to the ingredients if that's possible. I contacted one of the dermatologists and told them my experience. She decided to do a formula change in my super bottle. This has not worked for me and my skin is constantly breaking out now. It's so frustrating because it costs so much money. I'm not sure what to do next to treat my acne inexpensively and effectively.
Response from CurologyMay 20, 2020
Hi Macy Rose,
Thank you so much for reaching out and letting us know about your concerns! I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling frustrated with your experience at Curology. Let's see if we can clarify a few things for you.
First, please know that it would be unusual for your skin to develop a tolerance to a skincare product, or that a product would lose its effectiveness. Instead, it may be that the specific cause of your acne changes over time. Your Curology medical provider can work with you to identify possible triggers of new breakouts and provide recommendations for how to address them.
Second, it's important to understand that despite treatment, breakouts can still occur from time to time. With proper treatment, though, these breakouts tend to be minimal and short-lived!
With that said, if you do not find that our products are working for you, we completely understand, and you may be better served by an in-person dermatologist. If you need help finding an in-person dermatologist, you can ask your primary care physician or other local healthcare provider for a recommendation, or visit the American Academy of Dermatology site: https://www.aad.org/find-a-derm. We only want what's best for you!
We hope you find that information helpful. Please message your curology provider if you'd like to discuss this in more detail.

Scam
Seems like a scam
Seems like a scam. They say the large bottle has 24 MLs of medication, but is absolutely not true. This barely lasts 3 weeks. I've gotten products before with 20 MLs that have lasted me over 2 months. The first 2 months was awful, breaking out more than ever. Then after I finally begged them to change my formula and add a specific ingredient, they did, but not the same strength my local dermatologist had prescribed and still breaking out significantly. Finally, I'm closer to my previous strength, but not enough to last even a week this time. It's a sham! And their BS about it adjusting and taking up to 6 months to see a difference it's ridiculous. My local dermatologist cleared my skin 90% in 3 days. I was just looking for complete clear skin with this product and it totally backfired. And also, I do use a pea size amount, so please do not even think of commenting that with that standard message which they ALWAYS reply with.
Response from CurologyMay 11, 2020
Hi!
I'm honestly sorry that you haven't seen the results you wanted with Curology. I can completely understand that frustration.
That said, we are not trying to scam people by saying it takes the 6 weeks - this is medical advice straight from our dermatologists. The fact that you were able to clear your skin in 3 days with something else is amazing! But it sadly isn't true for many.
Additionally, we aren't here to scam people out of product. Our small bottle holds 12mL and our larger bottle holds 24mL.
If you feel that amount was not in your bottle please do email [email protected] so our team can help! 💜

Helpful but billing system could use some work
Bought this for teenage kid, seems to work when used alongside dietary changes. However, the cost of $40 for a bottle that barely lasts 3 weeks, it's not great. I don't like the every other month billing either, makes it a bit of a surprise on my bill and I have to get asked all the time when the next shipment is going to get here.
Response from CurologyMay 8, 2020
Hi Em ,
I'm so sorry that you've been unhappy with the amount of product in our bottles.
We try to be transparent about the size of our bottles. Our 1-month bottle holds 12mL and our 2-month bottle holds 24mL. We recommend applying a thin layer in order for the bottle to last the month.
As for billing, you can either sign up for billing once every month or once every two months. You can change your plan by logging into your account and clicking on your name. Go to "Plan" in the right hand corner, and you can edit from there.
If you click on "Shipments" and scroll down to "Manage Your Shipments", under "Next Set", you can see when your next set is scheduled to be shipped out.
I'm SO sorry about the confusion, and I hope this helps! 💜
I do appreciate your feedback and will make sure this gets back to our team.
