CubeSmart Self StorageReviews of cubesmart.com

After requesting a climate controlled unit several times because my storage location was Florida in extreme heat , it turned out after having all my belongings moved by a moving company into a unit, the unit was NOT climate controlled. Upon speaking with the manager and the district manager, they refused to do anything other than give me another unit at my own expense. So now I must hire more movers to move all my belongings into another unit. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. They are not customer friendly and not service oriented at all.

CubeSmart is not a company I will ever use again. I moved out 2 days into my paid month and received no refund. It is sad to see another company not caring about its clients and taking advantage of them in order to maximize profits.

They took over a Security Self Storage facility I was renting from. Immediately raised the price of my rental again and again, offering no other services for my money. They charge a fee to make a payment online. Feel they are just greedy greedy greedy and I can’t wait to get my items out!

Beware!!!! Price starts low but if you don't keep an eye on your invoices, they will keep slowly increasing the rate. I have a unit with them for a year with the payment on autopay and just today realized that they kept increasing the rate. Will never use them again.

We rented 2 units in Orlando and both units leaked and were infested with mold. They were extremely unhelpful and bearing in mind the ongoing Coronavirus situation, we can’t get access to the units. My wife is recovering from cancer and cannot be exposed to this. They keep sending demands for payment each month threatening to clear the units, knowing our predicament. Naturally, we have to pay ($1,000+ per month). Avoid this company at all costs. They are unacceptable and when I try to speak to the management, they will not connect you. A dishonest and unprofessional bunch.

I was lied to. Cube smart told me that my unit would stay the same price for a year. So my son also needed one and I told him to go there to and the rep said the units would not go up for at least a year. So in 6 months my storage and my son's went up $30.00 . Cube smart is gouging their customers. I never even got a notice that it was going up so I had no time to make a decision. I tried to talk to the area manager but they told the girl at Cube Smart that they would not talk to me. It's really cruel what they are doing to customers. People are having it hard but Cube Smart does not care. I would not recommend Cube Smart they are sneaky liars. Be careful they can go up whenever they want and they don't send notices when they do it. Cruel, no compassion for their customers, they just don't care.

I would give them less than a one star rating. Basically what happened was, I called to make my payment at 530, the lady took my credit card info and then after a brief moment said ok your payment went through. Now usually a business will tell you before charging you how much you owe or what they will be charging- not this place. She said ok it went through, I of course asked how much she charged me and it was $110 above my bill. I asked why and she said because my payment was not received by noon and the system does it automatically. Absolutely ridiculous!!! They will not refund my $110 and apparently they have done this to many customers without their knowledge. Protect yourself and rent from a different storage company.

We paid for a service 24/7 , when I entered the gate for my storage on my way out the gate did not open back again, I called the phone number online because no one was on duty, had to wait for over an hour to get the gate open back again , customer service was the worse I ever experienced,
