I had a unit in Belleville Illinois unit1576...I paid months ahead for the fact my child that passed ways things were in there and I was scared to death of something happening to all that I had left of my child...when coved hit I had some months I fell behind...I tried to pay over half of what I owed and they wouldn’t take payment...then I called three different people who told me what I owed I have a letter saying they would sell on 12/15....tried yesterday to pay it and the day before on line said I must go to site and pay when I did they said it was sold days ago....no one ever mentioned that in the last 4 days...I asked Quiana the so called manager if she could give the person who bought it my number I would pay them double just to have my child’s things back....she literally laughed and said not how it works and said she would call corporate I’ve been calling to see what I can do and they r hanging up on me...I’ve lost my child all over again....if u bought my unit ..name ur price....please

Both general managers are aware that theirs been an ongoing altercation between employees and clients that Richard sit aside. He know that his employees are spiteful, disrespectful and jealous of one another. Even his new hires are requested to signal out certain customers from them having a personal vendetta against them. Now if you want names, it’s no problem. We can definitely arrange our lawyers to send out a notice behind these allegations. We are tired of these arrogant, disrespectful Storeage management who doesn’t have any communication skills and their supervisors allowing them to get away with such poor conduct. If customers are going to antagonized while being a renter at Cubesmart and it’s part of your policy to do So, then we are going to take affirmative action to let Corprate know that their self pity has expired and their will be some correct disciplinary action behind every customer complaint. So the employees and the clients could feel comfortable being round one another. We don’t know how do you get good ratings when your store managers has ridiculous behavior advising their managers that certain customers are crazy to get off the hook again. This will no further happen. We are one of the biggest Lawfirm’s in the state, we specialize in complaints which general managers show favoritism to their employees, wrongfully punishing their customers. So your hire that was coherent by a spiteful manager should be made aware that if she keeps doing the most, she will either lose her job or permanently be changed post. We don’t like retaliation and so shouldn’t you, period. We all know what gender discrimination is. Plus why no one resolved these bitter complaints? I am an Army Widow, Signed on contract on 3 Units one a 10x15x8 unit Was paying $119. Received a notice in the mail today they raised it to $127.03. Scary because now I have 2 more bigger units, when I called they said they could raise the rates on them because the rents are month to month. Contracts are worthless and their word means nothing. Calling DOD and letting them know how they treat service members and their families or any family for that matter.

I was in a private storage facility that was bought by cubesmart. After cubesmart took over, the rent increased from $165 to $292/month. They increase the rent 25% every 3-6 months. The previous owners only increased the rent once in 3 years by 5 or 10%, that's how a reputable business operates. Their primary focus is on quick stock market gains and shareholders, not their storage customers. You can look up for yourself the CEO bragging about jacking up the rents. Obviously a terrible way to conduct business for the long term. Avoid cubesmart like the plague. Avoid any storage facility owned by equity investment firms. I moved to another privately owned facility for half the rent of cubesmart. Don't get trapped in this scam.

I have been a customer for over 5 years with this company and have continuously had nothing but problems and have been lied to and screwed over multiple times. My rate was raised with ZERO NOTIFICATION and Larry the district manager refused to do the right thing and adjust the rate. I will make sure to let everyone I know not to use your services and you obviously don't care about your customers and are willing to screw them over to make a buck!! VERY SAD BUSINESS ETHICS!!

We have rented the last few months. Our price just increased after hitting the 6 month point. Almost a thirty percent increase. Disgusting business practice. This is a Greedy company to deal with

Rented multiple units, within 6 months the rent increased 28 percent on each unit. A small rate increase each year is one thing, but 28 percent after only six months is absurd. The building hasn't changed, utilities didn't rise, so the only reason the company is increasing rates is for pure GREED.

We used the Cubesmart on Grand Street in Elizabeth, NJ (027) for about 9 months. Our unit was on the 6th floor and when we moved out last week we were horrified that the unit had sustained water leaks and some of our items were mildewed. In addition brown bugs (not sure if they were roaches) were scurrying around. If you have anything of value I would highly suggest you not use this facility.
