They will not leave me alone!!! Like seriously. I call once to get a price on a storage unit and now they pester me every day. They call and leave a message. Every. Single Day. How frustratingly annoying.

For the second time my storage unit 2421 was full of gallons of water, filled with black mold, building waste/debri on 26 MAR 2021. Yet, the problem was reported a year ago. I had movers with me that charged by the hour. I lost clothing for my kids and me, military career heirlooms, and photos. My UGG boots are destroyed as the liners were soaked the enter day. I had 2 units ($564 a month) for over 3 years. Yet, my health and belongings were completely impacted. In addition I had to pay the movers more due to the time spent and their exposure. Heartless.

One star is too generous! Cubesmart location in Gaithersburg is a dump. You’ll find your treasured belongings to be a vermin playground covered in mold and mice droppings and corporate won’t even acknowledge they have a problem!!

I gave this place one star.... it should have zero. My identity was recently stolen and cube smart ALLOWED an individual to use my information. Let me explain: I received an invoice from cube smart in the mail... and I have never owned/rented a storage unit. It stated that I owed X amount and needed to pay or they’d be auctioning off my items. I was confused... so I called the storage unit and spoke with a manager. I explained this couldn’t have been me, I’ve never owned a storage unit. After further speaking with her, and trying to prove who I AM.... we found out that the woman using my information had opened a storage unit ONLINE using my information and was later moved in AFTER HOURS and NEVER REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION!! How do you allow someone to rent a storage unit without ever showing proof of who you are?! This makes no sense to me! Had their been more safety features for the customers that pay rent... my information would not have been able to be used. I believe cubesmart should implement MANDATORY proof of identification... and any other storage unit for that matter.

Do not believe the 4 stars avg reviews. Cubesmart is terrible. Cubesmart locations in NYC charge insurance. The locations are clean, but there is lots of stealing occurring. Also the insurance fees are high and forced on customers. Most employees (not all) are rude and v mean. If you are a few days late w payment they charge $10, and another $10 days later. Do not store with CubeSmart

Terrible interactions with this company. Not willing to work with people especially during an unprecedented time. Only concerned about their bottom line. Ive been with other storage companies and this one has been the worst! Bring your business and belongings else where!!!

They did it again! You can’t trust Cube Smart. I’ve been renting their largest unit for a year now. Supposedly when you reserve a unit either online or in person – it locks in the rate at the time of the reservation. When I first reserved this unit a year ago the price went up between the time I reserved the unit and actually moved in. I was charged the new higher price despite having the reservation at a lower price. The same thing just happened again. I wanted to switch units and had one reserved. Again, the price went up a day or two before I was to move in and I’m being charged the new higher price. The rates have gone up twice just in the past two weeks so it seems there’s a reasonably high probability of this happening quite often and to many people.

Cubesmart bought out a local storage company which used to be friendly and affordable. they have raised the rates on our 2 units 4 times now....in a year. They have not improved the facility or done anything to make their costs increase. It's just plain corporate greed. We will be looking for another local privately owned storage company.
