Poor management,never got a hold of me (had all my info) until 5 days before building was going to be torn apart, No help whatsoever ,just beaurocracy and papers to sign after more than 7 years of storage .Way below standard

I took a locker with Cubesmart in Charlestown, MA, before leaving for several months in Europe. While abroad, they sent me a note that my locker was terminated and giving me a month to vacate. It turns out that they only rented the facility, the building had been sold, and they had never negotiated any sort of transition process. The people working at the facility were stressed but had no support. I had to line up (and pay for) a mover, arrange another locker, and they didn't even cancel my upcoming payment for the month ahead (when the facility will be closed). With movers and overlap this will end up costing me 500$. I'm told the next Cubesmart facility over will give a 10% discount for new customers (maybe for a whole 3 months). They don't seem to have any sort of national policies or overall customer support. Even when the problems are on their side. Find a local company and deal with them instead.

Second instance of theft. Came to pick up my Car Hauler this morning and it was gone. Employees refused to view camera footage. Waiting on HCSO to file police report. Not a secure facility. FM 1960 facility in Houston.

Horrible customer service, angry employees, leave office unattended for hours while note on door says be back at 11:40, then they come back at 1 and scream at you for calling the office. I only gave them a 1 star because I had to in order to write a review, otherwise it would be minus 5. Go anywhere else instead of the Vienna Cube Smart- you'll be sorry!

Poor customer service. Very expensive. They are very quick to apply late charges and won't budge on discussions even though they have fault in the process. My advice is to be very clear with them, very mechanical very repetitive.

Poor management and customer service. The new management team with high turn over rates, so you never know anyone in office, must have had 6 different manages and office personal in 18 months. They call you a liar and expect you to be a mind reader on the greedy rate increases, I never received a rate increase on my outside unit, and the management was not helpful even calling me a liar. The place is unsecured, holes and big gaps in fencing, people living out of there units, been renting here since 2006 when it was u store it. Been greedy have notices for increases dating back to 06, but still falling apart.people leaving pee bottles and trash, rodent running wild, units get trash blown in from garage doors not sealing properly. Turning into real slum. Cars on jacks and trailers block access. Management is always out and you call it goes to voicemail, then they call on blocked caller I’d phones. Seriously if I didn’t have surgery on knees I’d move out, gotta wait a few more weeks, then moving out of this slum.

Our company was sold to CubeSmart. No fault of ours; however, though we had not been with their company for 6mos they increased our units by $40.00 per unit. The contract was with another company. I never signed a contract with CubeSmart. Stay Away. They are only after money. I removed the insurance offered, once that was done they took the cost back up with an increase. Im there because my items are heavy otherwise Id run. I will continue to post. If I can help others stay away I will do so. Find a place that are not scam artist. Greedy even in this climate.

I feel compelled to give a bad review of CubeSmart. who obtained my business by purchasing the former Storage West self storage locations in Las Vegas from whom I had rented storage and parking for many years. When calling individual storage locations calls are now routed to a main system where one is forced to listen to Cubesmart's self congratulatory best customer service award message. The problem is customer service is bad. No longer can live people be reached at storage locations easily by phone. The central customer service cannot answer location specific questions. I am unable to get email access for location managers. Emails now are for notifications not two way communication. Emails are not being received. One location called me said they were sending me an email, insisting my email was defective. No. It is not. I have been receiving bills via emails for seven years before Cubesmart. Would not tell me what is was about – it never came. More than a week later I received my bill via email only four days before due date. Was that what he was sending me ? Can’t be sure. Trying to contact that manager will be difficult, time consuming. This past January I felt it necessary to cancel moving into a second location I rented in person. The manager could not give me a gate code due to the system being down, or a printed or emailed copy of the contract. Later I was given a temporary gate code over the phone. With limited time left in the area I was not willing to jeopardize my travel plans testing a temporary untested gate code after hours. I ended up renting at another location in Las Vegas, finding it in an internet search. Customer service had told me nothing was available in Las Vegas. I would have to go to Henderson. Furthermore, my locations do not appear to have live-in managers anymore. This means reduced response to criminal access. One manager could not assist me because he had to run to another location to address a break-in. Cubesmart's contracts limit their liability to almost nothing. I plan to move out entirely, because I do not feel my property is safe under their management. Reduced service and staffing combined with massive rent increases for storage and parking. The price increases alone make long term storage no longer viable. This is not an indictment any employees many of which are carry-overs from the previous. Having learned that Cubesmart is a real estate investment trust; my trust has been obliterated. I could go on. How sad.
