CubeSmart Self StorageReviews of cubesmart.com

At first it seemed perfect. It’s clean and affordable as feels safe . But after a few months they Jack up your rent no matter how many units you have. There is no discount for multiple units. And the low price is to lure you in but they don’t care about long term customers they only care about YOUR MONEY!! Find a better place with integrity, fairness and a loyalty to customers

I just read through the website with all the nonsense about customer service and all the corporate goal garble and how important the customer is. Puke. I had to write that a stuff when I was a procedures analyst for a large bank, meaningless garbage verbiage. So, I have had this spot for about 5 years and this monster vine used to wrap around my RVs generator tail pipe and pull it off when I pulled out. I complained about it and they did try to kill this thing but they didn't get it to year 4. The Place is dirty as well, I'm still waiting for the paper cups and food wrapers to disintigrate

Since renting a 5x5 space at 5394 Cubesmart Storage iI have had 2 rent increases in just 14 months. The rate initially was a special and it was raised 3 or 4 months after renting. The next raise notice came less than a year after. Just to stop the increases I’m going to donate the furniture. Now that I know how these storage companies operate I will be more cautious in the future. My rent was paid on time if not early by automatic payments. Had my rent not been increased I would have not donated the furniture until I moved and decided if I needed it. With these rates I can buy the furniture and come out ahead. The sentimental value of the furniture is priceless but my income has limits. Beware these companies who advertise specials they don’t last and increases come quickly.

The cubesmart in Hendersonville, TN does not belong to the BBB. That alone should tell you what you need to know..... They do NOT honor their written contracts regarding pricing and the units are climate, but not humidity controlled!!!!!!!!!!!

Im at the Montfort and LBJ location. My rent went up a little after about 6 months. Everything was OK when I moved in inthe Summer of 2020. Cube start talks about higher cleaning standards but the bathroom toilet sink floor walls are always dirty, the water cold and the soap dispenser broken. The floors go days without vacuuming the out doors to the units are getting DUSTY, there are spider webs in the top of the unit, I'm sure I felt a drop of water, I saw roaches and some Strange bugs in my unit, the elevators scare me when I ride them, they lerch and thud more than normal. one of them broke down, and I have trouble getting the lights to come on.The gates are always broken. I've reported this to the office a couple of times, they say their there by they self...

I arrived at the unit early evening since I'd gotten an email telling me what my new access code was. It didn't work. I am there with two movers and this is the last leg of the trip before going to my main storage unit. I called the customer service center and was bounced around. I was finally given the so-called general manager, Destiny, who was more into her title and repeating it than getting me in. She promised to be there in 10 minutes and was a no-show. I asked her specifically is she would be there in 10 minutes and she never made it. We had a 2 hour window to unload at another storage facility where everything worked. And I'd signed up for that one online. (Prime Storage was seamless!) Local manager Marilyn apologized and shared that she had no control over the automated letters that go out and gave a probable reason why the GM didn't get there. I had to be inconvenienced both time, miles out of the way and financially. Destiny needs to be demoted.

1. PAY ATTENTION. THEY QUIETLY AND CONSTANTLY RAISE THE RENT. They do NOT let you know that, just charge a higher amount. Online account does not state the rent increased, so BEWARE of putting down an automatic payment. If they see an opportunity to grab more of your money, they absolutely will. They are not your friends, keep that in mind at all times. 2. You must check the footage of the actual space. What they advertise and charge for is NOT what is actually provided to you. We've rented multiple units over the years and its the same story, constantly shaving off feet here and there.

Hidden costs (e.g. mandatory insurance, overpriced required locks, rate changes)....accommodating while moving in (e.g. cheap truck usage), but not possible to use the truck that never moves while moving out & after spending thousands with them....poor unit access to any medium to large truck....snotty management. Doubt I would ever use them again.
