Been a customer for a long time six years or more tired of feeling like I’m being held up every time I come to pay my bill customer service is almost useless and the way they treat customers is terrible. There should be some kind of a law against what this company is doing I do not recommend this company to anyone they dangle a caring in front of you and then they continue to take and take and take and take when finally you can no longer pay your bill then they take what you paid years and years for right out of your hand and smile at you

Zero integrity
Was moving my belongings into my new storage unit. There were three different groups of folks moving in at the same time as me, so the bays were pretty full.
We carried our stuff up the ramp and set it inside the bay. As we were taking the first load back to the unit, the garage door randomly closed and smashed my new dining room table. Everything was on camera, and an incident report was generated. The GM fully acknowledged what happened and told me this had happened before.
I asked her why there weren't any signs posted to alert customers to this potential hazard. She told me that she had been asking her DM for permission to make signs, as this had happened several times before. I then asked her why I wasn't at least told about this verbally when being given my initial tour; she just said that she was sorry. I was told to file an insurance claim.
The claim was denied.
CubeSmart has flat-out refused to do anything and won't even return my emails, texts, or calls. Even after they acknowledged their fault and it is on video!

They need to stop raising the rent…
They need to stop raising the rent every 6 months cube smart storage gets you in on a great introductory price then the jack up the rent every year and now it's not affordable I'm so sick of of the high price for a little storage unit I will continue to write bad reviews until the price is moved back to a more affordable price also they changed the insurance rate from 12.oo to 20.oo which really makes me question WTF when my renters insurance for my house is only 10.00 for 25000.00 coverage and I did not agree to that increase either. If you care about your customers who have been a customer for quite a while you may want to change how you treat them.

Cubesmart takes ZERO accountability
I made multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly with CubeSmart before posting this review. It went absolutely nowhere. We paid for an indoor, climate-controlled unit. When we removed our belongings, we discovered a significant flying-insect infestation that was far more extensive than initially visible when we initially uncovered the problem. We could clearly see substantial deterioration, an opening, and apparent moisture/decay/mold in the ceiling area above the unit. When we first identified the issue, CubeSmart directed us to file a claim under the protection plan we had been paying for. The claim was denied because insect damage is excluded, despite our concern that the infestation was associated with the deteriorated and apparent moisture that was due to the condition of the building. I continued trying to resolve the matter. We were offered to move our belongings into another unit and was given 24 hours to decide. It wasn't practical, as we are not local to the storage, not to mention, we had with no time to thoroughly inspect the damage. After asking for our concern to be escalated, the local facility provided contact information for a District Manager. When I called him, I reached a generic voicemail system that did not provide the impression that I would receive a call back. I did not, after two follow-up calls. The local employees were courteous and sympathetic, and I want to be fair about that. However, the solutions offered were not reasonable; we had to hire someone to move, clean our property and dispose of affected items. We felt we had no choice but to take matters into our own hands and properly assess the damage and relocate our belongings. On the day we closed our account, we explained our situation again with local representives, who visibly saw and recognized the concern, and were offered a one-month storage credit, which came nowhere close to our expenses. We were told that the matter had been reviewed with the district and nothing further could be done. The most disappointing part is how CubeSmart took accountability for "their" own issue. We made repeated attempts, over 6+ weeks, to give the company an opportunity to address the situation properly.

⚠️ **PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING FROM…
⚠️ **PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING FROM THIS CUBESMART LOCATION.**
My experience with CubeSmart at **3817 Gulf Freeway, Dickinson, TX 77539** has been extremely disappointing. This is my second unit at this location, and I regret continuing to rent here.
I was attracted by what appeared to be a low promotional rate, only to discover that the price increases every few months. I also have serious concerns about the insurance. CubeSmart's own pamphlet states that customers are **not obligated to pay for the insurance to rent a unit**, yet the manager, Harold, told me that it was now mandatory.
Then I opened my unit last Friday and found **fire ants at the entrance, mouse/rat feces throughout the unit, spider webs, hornets on the walls, and beetles inside my storage tubs.** My belongings have been damaged and ruined.
I photographed everything and filed two claims. After being told to wait for the claims department, I received a voicemail from Cedric telling me that **my claims would not be covered because I did not have the type of insurance that covers this damage.**
So I'm left asking: **If insurance is mandatory, what exactly am I paying for? And why am I being charged for coverage that doesn't cover damage caused by conditions inside the facility?**
I am a cancer survivor and have health concerns that make exposure to rodent contamination particularly concerning. I expect a storage facility to take reasonable measures to control rodents and other pests.
This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. **Before renting here, ask very specific questions about rent increases, insurance requirements, what the insurance actually covers, and pest control.**
I personally will not be renting another unit at this location.

Terrible customer service and do not honor what the customer was told
I reserved a storage unit when they were on a 50% off sale. The person who reserved it for me said that I could change it to a different size once I know what I want and still get the discount as long as I reserved one of them. After seeing the price change online (a worse price for the unit I reserved but a better one for the one bigger) I tried calling them to change the reservation to a different unit that was bigger and the same price as the one I reserved. After calling many times to the local facility in Frisco, Texas I finally got a hold of a person. He told me I couldn't get the discount if I changed and the price wasn't going to get any better. Not at all what I was told in with the initial rep. None of the customer service people have been overly friendly. They don't really care if I rent the space or not that is evident
