The customer service was stellar and the product was great. The futons smell like Palo Santo or some kind of earthy pleasant smell.

I was a bit nervous about ordering from Comfort Pure, given the mixed reviews, especially the ones about receiving damaged products or what a hassle it was to try and return something given the expensive return and restocking fees. But I took a chance, and honestly, I'm glad I did. Perhaps I was one of the lucky ones, but my experience was 9/10 great. After placing my order, someone from the company called and went over my order with me to make sure everything was correct. Soon afterwards, I got a link with a tracking number that detailed exactly where my package was, every step of the way, along with an estimated delivery date. The item was delivered on the day it was supposed to, without any issue. The only reason why I docked one star was that the packaging could have been better. My queen sized 6" futon was double wrapped in plastic and that's it. I was expecting it to come in a cardboard box, similar to those "mattress-in-a-box" deliveries. While it was delivered to my apartment door, it was just this massive thing on my doorstep, blocking my neighbor's door across the hall as well. But I did also order a wooden tri-fold futon frame that did indeed come in a cardboard box and was packaged in such a way that there was no damage to the wood at all. However, it was not wrapped in any kind of waterproof plastic inside the box. I had previously read that a past customer received their wooden frame with water damage, but fortunately it was not raining where I was. The actual product is great. The futon is incredibly comfortable and I couldn't be happier with it. It also has a slight cedar scent to it, which I really don't mind at all. The wooden tri-fold frame was a bit tricky to build and set up. I had to do it twice. The trick is not to completely screw in the screws as you're putting together the slats because there will come a point where it appears the pre-drilled holes do not align with where they need to go. Some of them even seemed to be 1-2 inches off. I thought I was doomed. However, I disassembled it and restarted from square one, this time, carefully lining up the holes and then only lightly screwing in the screws 1/4 of the way in. Incredibly, it made the wood more pliable to where when I got to the later slats that previously did not line up, I could physically bring them closer and line them up correctly. Once they were all 1/4 screwed in, I then fully screwed them all in. The wood feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy. However, some of the edges are unfinished so be careful not to get splinters. The transition mechanism from bed to futon is also smooth and easy, although I would recommend always having two people do it together as it could prove tricky to attempt it alone. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would purchase from them again. It's only been four days since I've been sleeping on my new futon and tri-fold frame, but I am happy with it so far. Time will tell how they hold up over time, but for the time being, satisfied.

The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the drawers are very useful.

I first ordered a full tatami mat and also a full shikibuton. However, the tatami mat had to be exchanged for 2 cot size. Comfort pure called me immediately and let me know that it would need to be changed and they worked with me and told me promptly. Also, my order got delayed, but metropolitan delivery called me immediately to let me know. I love my shikibuton, and was glad that both comfort pure and metropolitan worked with me. I would order from them again even though it took some time. It was very worth it.

We like the futon. The price is cheaper than all the nontoxic options available. Delivery took awhile though about three weeks and setup was not that easy though we eventually figured it out.

To respond to the comment left below on my review: I asked y'all my very first email if you price matched and you said you did and asked to see what I was trying to price match to. As a company, you should not be having varied answers. Original Review: I’ve sent in like 10 different price matches and all they do is find excuses as to why they can’t price match it. really, all they are wanting to do is scam people
